Announcement   Welcome to YeCart Pottery, a part of Tracey Creations in Snow, OK. Making pottery to use, yet with a decorative beauty that can adorn any shelf or table is my goal. After an accident in 1998, it took me 6 months to brave sitting down to throw pottery on my wheel again & with it came a gift of handcarving the greenware in relief. My art is the best gift I could have received. Starting with celtic & mythical designs, I have included blacksmith & botanical & now fiber art tools & animals. I am always looking for new inspiration & enjoy my time explaining & showing children & others a little of how pottery is made at festivals during the year. As of '2014' I am also using porcelain clay!! It is exciting to have this wonderful clay back in my life again but the stoneware will continue to be produced!

Look for me at North Texas Irish Festival, Norman Medival Fair, Oklahoma Renaissance Festival, Fiber Christmas, (Will NOT be at Tulsa Scottish Festival 2016), Ohio Renaissance Fair (at Swendsen Wood Shoppe), Dickens on the Blvd in Claremore, Austin Celtic Festival, Oxford 1 Fiber Festival (MS) & others. I frequently demonstrate on a small pottery kick-wheel when I have the space to do so.

I apologize for not having as many things listed in 2015. It has been difficult as my back flared up from injuries I didn't realize existed. With the help of a friendly chiropractor I am healing (it is a slower process than I wish but life adds to the challenge with its little set-backs). Given a little more time I plan to be up & functioning fully with all the larger pieces being asked about & hope to try some new designs.

I love what I do & love to share beauty in a functional way. My goal is to bring something beautiful into people's lives that is useful & they enjoy. Also to fulfull the needs that I can for memories & honor. Creating pottery is my love, only passed by that for my children & family.

Thank you for looking.

If you are wondering about something,..... PLEASE ASK!
I love to hear suggestions for designs & many of them have become reality & gone on to their new homes!
Thanks again!

Beautiful artwork on the chalice and paten. Tracey was able to help us out greatly by taking our custom communion set order for our wedding and shipping it in under two weeks. It arrived the day before the wedding.

Thank you for investigating my pottery. This allows me an oppertunity to reach people outside the small circuit I travel. I love creating & clay allows me a chance to bring something beautiful into your daily life. I make mugs, chalis/goblets, bowls, plates ect. so they can be used not just sit & look pretty. I start by throwing on the wheel with buff stoneware (no grogg) from Texas. Then I handcarve in relief for the design to be felt, rather like a stone carving. The designs I started with were celtic & mythical, due to inquiries I have expanded to blacksmith & animals & rediscovered botanicals reciently. I use mid-range glazes mixed in Tennesee for the nice range I get. They microwave well & should do fine in the dishwasher (I don't have one to test in, but friends have used theirs) Being natural substance there is an occational inclusion that could create a "hot spot", I try to remove these if I find them. It is the same material as regular stoneware "spots" are made of.

I believe people deserve to enjoy beauty. Hold it in their hands & make use of it as well as look at it. By working with clay I am allowed to take a small piece of earth, create something nice that will serve you in this manner. Inquiries are welcome. Thank you again for visiting. Tracey
