5 out of 5 starsNice flash cards, appreciated using an easy to identify font for youngsters! Took a little to ship, but I understand as it was around the holidays. My only comment would be that the letter “X” is listed as for “Explore”, and this caused a little confusion for my 4 year old as it didn’t actually begin with an X.

I try to bring beauty to mundane objects.
My latest project, Nature Theme educational flash cards, began with a request from a teacher friend who wanted to bring some nature into her classroom. I chose subjects that I hope are interesting, inspiring and appealing to children and adults alike. I don't believe that children require simplified, cartoonish images. Quite the opposite: I believe that kids of all ages respond positively to art that does not condescend to them. A key element of learning is enjoyment; my hope was to create a series of illustrations that are joyful, and celebrate the natural world, while also reinforcing the fundamentals of literacy and counting.
