About

Handwoven....it's what I do!

Jackie established her company, Jackie Made This, in 2013, creating one-of-a-kind scarves, shawls and small tapestries. Each piece is designed, warped and woven at her home in Melbourne. Jackie uses a variety of natural fibres – wool, cotton and silk – in a range of colours, creating unique pieces that cannot be found in the current fast-fashion market. They are commissioned, or made and sold in markets and select stores. Each item is an heirloom piece, made to last a lifetime.

Jackie Made This grew out of my life-long passion for hand-woven fabrics. I first tried weaving at kindergarten when I was three years old, and even at that stage, my fingers only just mature enough, the weaving was clean and precise. Twenty years later, I am still weaving, having graduated from RMIT University in 2008 with a Bachelor of Arts (Textile Design), specialising in Woven Design. After university I realised that I wanted my future to be in hand-woven fabric.

If you would like any more information on the label, or are interested in becoming a stockist please convo Jackie Made This.
