Yesteryear Designs, Origins!

Our story is a short and sweet, and we can't wait to add you to it. We are simply a collection of creative people here to stretch our creative muscles so you can have a one-of-a-kind piece of furniture that can be found only in your home!

Each piece in our shop is unique and beautiful in its own way and we love to be a part of bringing them back to life! Each and every customer we've been blessed to meet through ETSY have all been so wonderful and easy to work with. Something about getting to design furniture specifically for someone is a very personal and extraordinary way to meet creative and friendly people.

At Yesteryear, we want to be the facilitators of each personally designed piece of furniture that each and every one of you wish to design for your own home.

Payment
Payment is due, in full, up front. For custom items, we will work with you to help pick out your fabric once you have committed to buying, but payment must be received before we order any fabric swatches. We will generally reserve any items for you once you have requested that we do so. We ask that you make the payment within 48 hours of reservation or let us if you need to arrange for more time. If we do not hear back from you within the 48 reservation period, we will put the item back out for sale.

We do offer a fabric discount on custom items, should you choose to purchase your own fabric, however, this applies only to customers who already have or wish to shop for and purchase their own fabric. This will not include any help with selections or swatches, and the fabric will have to be purchased and shipped to us to complete the order. If you are interested in receiving the fabric discount on any of our custom items, please convo us.

Custom item prices include fabric up to $15.00 per yard. We will generally only send you fabric swatches that are within the price range, however, should you like to purchase a more expensive fabric, you will be responsible for the difference in price.

Should you wish to cancel an order, you must do so before payment is made, during the 48 hour reservation period.
Shipping
We offer 3 different shipping methods for customers to choose from. Depending on the item, one or more shipping methods might not be applicable. Please let us know if you prefer one of our alternate methods of shipping and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Shipping Method #1: Our default shipping method is Greyhound Express. We recommend them because they tend to be the most affordable and quickest option. Greyhound shipping is a terminal to terminal service so items will have to be picked up at your nearest Greyhound station. Greyhound does not offer packaging services so we do charge a $50 packaging fee per order to securely package items for shipment.

Shipping Method #2: For items that are too large for Greyhound or if you prefer an item to be shipped to your door, we can use TSC Shipping.

Shipping Method #3: We will personally deliver within a 50 mile radius of Dallas for $50, in a 51-250 mile radius for $250, and 251-500 mile radius for $500. We will prorate shipping charges if you buy multiple items within our delivery radius and we will work with you the best we can to make getting your item to you as easy as possible.

If you are interested in purchasing an item, please convo us for a quote.
Refunds and Exchanges
All sales are final. We will be responsible for any damages up until the items leave our hands. If you are picking up or we are personally delivering, this means that we will fix any damages until you pick up or we deliver the item. If you are shipping via greyhound or any other freight venue, we will fix any damages up until we drop off the items at the arranged venue.
Additional policies and FAQs
Please keep in mind that the items in our shop are old pieces of furniture that will have nicks and dings. We like to call that character. While we make every effort to smooth out all wood surfaces when we refinish them, we do not think it will be a credit to the item to use an abundance of wood filler and call it finished. If you have any questions or want any additional photos of a piece, please convo us and we will be more than happy to give you any more details about a certain piece we have.
