I commissioned a custom piece from Emily, and she was fantastic throughout the entire process. She carefully responded to the design I had in mind, making suggestions to help; answered emails quickly; and even sent pictures of the project as it progressed! The piece is stunning, and truly one-of-a-kind. Thanks so much, Emily, and I look forward to doing business with you again!

About

Making objects to exceed your expectations...

I came to metal smithing after college, where I was a Studio Art Major focused on Photography. I wanted to take a continuing education course that would let me be creative, and after a week of working with metal I knew I had found something I could love doing permanently.

After a few years of learning on my own I spent 3 years getting an MFA in Metal, and got the tools I needed to make well-crafted objects. The well-crafted part has always been important to me. It's easy to make things beautiful in a picture... my goal is to make objects that, when you receive them, exceed your expectations. This includes the quality, color, feel, and detailing. I strive to make each piece with exceptional craftsmanship, so it can be worn everyday for years to come. You may find jewelry for lower prices, but when it comes to value I believe my high standards help set me apart from much of the jewelry out there. I hope you will agree!

My vision when creating jewelry is based on what I would want to wear. The pieces tend to be larger in scale, with a solid weight that allows them to withstand daily wear. Often simple and modern in form, I pay a lot of attention to details such as movement, mechanisms, and material. In both craft and art, creating something simple that can stand on its own and garner attention is often more difficult than creating something busy.

Hello, and thank you for taking the time to stop by my shop.

I am always available via convo or email (emily[at]metalemily.com) if you have any questions, concerns, or suggestions.

Please keep in mind that colors on your computer may differ a bit from the actual color of my jewelry, as everyone's monitor settings are a bit different.

PLEASE contact me if you have any issues regarding your transaction before leaving feedback. I pride myself on my customer service and will do anything in my power to resolve any issues you have regarding my jewelry. I'm very convo friendly and happy to work with you to make your shopping experience a pleasant one. Thanks so much!!

Payment
► Payment Methods

• PAYPAL payments are preferred.

• PERSONAL CHECKS will be accepted in the exact amount of the purchase (I do not give cash back). I will also accept United States Postal Service MONEY ORDERS only. In both cases, your order will be shipped only after payment has been received and funds have cleared. Please keep this in mind if you are ordering items for a specific occasion.

• If you would like to pay with a CREDIT or DEBIT CARD, choose the PayPal option in checkout. PayPal is a third party credit card processor that keeps all of your transaction information secure. You do *not* need your own PayPal account to use the service. If you have questions about how this works I'll be happy to help you.

► Cancellations
A request to cancel your order must be placed within 24 hours of purchase. Otherwise, your order will be filled and you will need to follow the "Refunds and Exchanges" policy found below.

► Schedule of Payments
Paypal payments should be made within 24 hours of purchase. Payment via money order or check is expected within ten (10) days of purchase. If payment is not received within these deadlines, I reserve the right to cancel the transaction. If you for some reason cannot meet these deadlines, please contact me.
Shipping
► Items ship within three (3) days of cleared payment. If you need an item in a hurry, please let me know and I will do my best to ship within a day.

► I will ship your jewelry to your address listed in Etsy unless otherwise noted in the "Message to Seller" section during checkout. If you pay via Paypal and your registered Paypal address differs from the one registered with Etsy, please keep this in mind.

► Domestic Shipping (USA)
Most orders will be shipped First Class USPS. You should receive your order within 2-15 business days. I will automatically insure all work over $50, but will not include delivery confirmation unless you specifically request it. For orders under $50, I will gladly add these services for an additional cost.

► International Shipping
Items ship via USPS First Class Mail International. Unfortunately this option does not allow tracking or insurance. If you would like tracking or insurance on your order contact me and I will send your package by Global Express Mail, which will cost an extra $20.00 (3-6 business days). Apart from Canada, international shipping prices are listed as "Everywhere Else" and are based on shipping to the mailing zone farthest from me (Australia). If the shipping price turns out to be significantly less to ship to your destination I will refund the difference via PayPal. Note that I do not pay any duties, customs fees, or any other associated fees. These are the responsibility of the buyer if their country charges these types of fees. Please be aware of customs information including any fees that may be incurred on your end before purchasing. This information can be found at your local post office or on the web. Every country varies. If you have any questions or concerns about these policies please let me know and I'll be happy to work with you.

► If you would like to place a large order I'll be happy to work with you to adjust the shipping price, but you must convo me first to arrange this.

► All orders are colorfully packaged in a gift box and then packed carefully in a shipping box to ensure safe shipping (to the best of my abilities!) Whenever possible, I do like to reuse exterior shipping boxes and packaging materials. If you would prefer new materials, please let me know.
Refunds and Exchanges
► Damaged Items
If your item(s) arrive damaged please contact me asap. You will have the option to receive a full refund or I will replace the item(s).

► Non-Damaged Items
I take pride in my work and hope you will love the item you receive. However, if you are unhappy with your purchase for any reason please notify me. Exchanges and store credit are usually not a problem provided you send the piece back in the condition you received it within ten (10) days of receipt. Returns will be handled on a case by case basis. In both cases the original shipping costs will not be included in your refund/exchange, nor will return shipping.

► Lost Packages
If you believe your package has been lost in the mail please contact me so we can work together to track it down or file a claim. Please allow 15 days for domestic packages to be received and 45 days for international packages.

► Customs Fees
Returns and refunds are not available because item(s) are facing customs fees, taxes, tariffs, duties, etc. Please be aware of the fees that you may be charged when receiving an international package from the United States.
