Thanks! I love the glasses as they are 'weighty' at the base and good in the hand. A prompt transaction.
Living with vintage is living with history. Oh it may be history from only 30 or so years ago, but it is history nonetheless. As life hurls its way into the future at a dizzying velocity, a look backwards can be comforting as well as educational. Vintage items tend to be better made, longer lasting, more beautiful or graceful (to some eyes), and frequently, far more imaginative than their contemporary comparables.
The wonderful fact is, we are currently living a golden age of vintage, where craftsman, art nouveau, art deco, mid-century modern, retro, and even kitsch items are still, to some extent, readily available. Beautiful art studio pottery and glass, retro Fiesta, Harlequin, and Riviera ware, fabulous mid-century and deco barware all can still be yours for reasonable prices.
Vintage allows you to indulge your own creative, quirky, individual style. And of course, vintage items don’t have to match! Pair up your colorful Fiesta ware dishes with a few true antique Dedham Pottery plates or chargers for a unique and wonderful table layout. Add an Art Deco silver cocktail shaker to your silver rimmed Dorothy Thorpe roly poly glasses for a sophisticated look to your mid-century bar or man cave. Put up a retro Seth Thomas apple clock in your shabby chic kitchen to add a splash of color and character. Add an old sterling and turquoise bracelet to the other bangles on your wrist for a splash of color and class. Do I even have to mention the enduring appeal of vintage copper bottom Revere ware pots and pans? I didn’t think so.
Vintage items are unique. They have character. They are sturdily and solidly made. They’ve lasted this long, and they’ll last a lot longer.
But vintage items are also a non-renewable resource. Once a vintage item is gone, it’s GONE.
So take advantage of the wonderful offerings here on Etsy, and of course, especially here at Your Lush Life Vintage. There’s something for everyone here. And half the fun is in finding it!
I'm a resident of beautiful Cape Cod, and I love to buy and sell pretty sparkly things. And pretty things that aren't necessarily sparkly. And interesting things that might not be considered pretty in a conventional sense. And...

Frequently asked questions
Payment is due when order is placed, unless you have made other arrangements with me.
For your convenience, this shop gladly accepts various types of payments: most standard credit cards, Paypal, Etsy Gift Cards, etc. If you wish to pay by check or money order, please contact me in advance, and understand that your order will not be shipped until your payment has been received and has been cleared by my bank.
Upon request, I will reserve an item for 48 hours for you. If, after that time, you have not either purchased or communicated with me, I will release the item back into the shop for sale.
Lay-away plans are available for any item or group of items priced at $100.00 or more. See my Lay-away FAQ below for more information.
Shipping in the United States
Most items are shipped within 3 days of payment received; specific shipping timing is listed on each item.
I normally ship your items in the most economical way. This means that delivery time via USPS can be up to a week or more. Once items are are in the mail, I have no more control over them, and they are at the mercy of the USPS.
I strive to estimate precise postage charges, but it is not always possible to be exact. I will refund postage overcharges. If I have undercharged on regular postage, I will NEVER request extra payment; that's my fault and I will not ask you to pay for my mistake.
If you specifically request expedited shipping, I will notify you of any extra charge which must be paid before your item will be mailed.
Shipping from the United States to other countries
Duty, taxes, and other related charges are NOT included in the price of items or shipping charges in my shop; they are your responsibility, so please be prepared to pay additional fees if your country charges any of these.
For items valued at less than $100, I do not require insurance; however I strongly urge international buyers to request shipping insurance for all items when ordering; we are not responsible for theft or loss of international orders during shipping.
Please contact me for an exact shipping quote before ordering.
Refunds and Exchanges
Returns may be accepted; I will decide on a case-by-case basis. If I have inadvertently described an item incorrectly, or if your item is defective, I'll be more than happy to make it right. Just convo me or send an e-mail within 3 days of your receipt of your order, and I'll get back to you within a day or so. Please understand that any shipping costs required to return an item are the responsibility of the buyer.
I offer a lay-away option for any item or combination of items whose value is $100 or more.
1. Decide on the item (or items) you wish to purchase.
2. Send me a message listing the item(s).
3. I will create payment listings for your order which you will pay during an agreed-upon time period. If you are ordering holiday gifts, please allow extra time for delivery.
4. The first payment you make reserves your item(s).
(Continued in next FAQ listing. Etsy only allows us a small number of characters per FAQ field.)
5. When your final payment has been received, your items will be promptly shipped out. If you require expedited shipping, be sure to contact me and I will let you know what the extra shipping charges will be. Your item(s) will not be shipped until the final payment is made; this includes any extra charges for expedited shipping.
Note: All lay-away payments are non-refundable. However, if you are unable to continue your payments, you may use the amount you have already paid as a shop credit with Vintage Stoutcat for another shop item(s). You MUST notify us of this within five days so that we can release the reserved item(s). If you simply stop paying without notification, all previous payment are forfeit.
Professional cleaning is always recommended.
