About

From Chaos to Smooth Flowing Steam

I have always been an avid fan of SteamPunk designs. I never really knew where it came from or that there was an entire growing subculture that had o do with SteamPunk until years after I developed affinity for the designs.

In 2009, I found someone else who also loved SteamPunk about 8 years after discovering what it was. She was becoming more and more passionate about the style. And I was becoming more and more passionate about her... I mean the style. Both.

One day while working at our local Art Supply Store a friend and fellow artist/set designer for the show "Castle" looked at me and said, "SteamPunk?" I smiled amazed that someone understood what I was going for with my style. He told me they were doing a SteamPunk themed episode of Castle and they needed extras. I was ecstatic!

You were required to bring as much costume parts as you could (so they would have the least amount to have to supply) So I made myself a bunch of SteamPunk attachments.

After doing the show and meeting the very very nice actors, I found that I really liked making SteamPunk things! I began making little SteamPunk gifts for my new found SteamPunk lover. And then making little pins for my own attire.

As time went on I found it harder and harder to find the parts that I wanted, or to find a seller who had consistant sized gears and parts. So I first researched buying them in bulk and came up empty handed. Then I researched how they were made. And became more and more interested in how I could become a SteamPunk Supply company.

As I dove further and further into my research I found myself extremely interested in how these vintage parts everyone used were originally made. Thinking, "If they were made 50 years ago, there's no reason that can't be made again today!" I developed three very high standards for myself.

First: Absolute quality. I didn't want anything coming out of my shop that was not up to par with my favorite vintage parts.

Second: I live in the USA and want everything I make to be Made in the USA

Third: Customer Service! Customer Service! Customer Service! And I LOVE Etsy because coming from an old Ebay environment to an Etsy environment is like Night and Day! Everyone is so much nicer and happier on Etsy! It's hard to say if I love shopping or Selling more! Etsy is just great for being able to receive and well as being able to give great customer service!

And here we are today! Please feel free to message me any time you think of some SteamPunk supply you wish you could find! Or any Custom Orders! Or just o say hello!

Thank You for visiting my shop!

Best Wishes,
Pete

Custom and personalized orders

If you need Custom Metal Gears please contact us. Due to the nature of how these are produced (Photochemical Etching), they are not cheap to produce, particularly in small amounts. Generally (depending on the size) a minimum order may yield about 1,000 gears, and will be quite costly, (depends on type of metal and quantity desired) But we are more than happy to help!
