We have two giant Yumyos that have made our 5 & 8 year olds very happy! Packages arrived swiftly and with a customized gift bag. We have discovered that not only are giant Yumyos awesome to hug and snuggle, but they also make really great pillows for lounging! Love this fruit and the storybook that explains who they are and how they came to be.
Yumyo is born!
I used to be a painter, as long as I can remember painting was a part of my daily life. A few years ago I developed severe chemical sensitivities and painting was no longer an option. In being forced to rethink my medium I tried several options, fabric proved to be the most exciting option. I began by using iron on adhesives in an attempt to create pieces similar to what I would have been painting. It took me a while, but eventually, like being struck by lightning, it came to me that this could be an excellent opportunity to do something I hadn't been able to do before with paint and canvas, create 3D art! Here's where my amazing partner, love of my life, Dave, comes in. Dave is an incredibly talented illustrator, but not just that he is a creator of worlds, a true fantasist. I have long admired his ability to draw from this fantasy world of his and create the most strange and beautiful pieces. I was inspired to borrow from his illustrations and create some 3D art pieces to accompany his work. It was immediately fun and wonderfully challenging. What I didn't count on was how much people would be taken with them, they make people laugh and smile! Almost immediately I was being asked to create plush creatures for friends and relatives. I realized that this was something I could share on a larger scale and Yumyo was born!
Owner, Maker, Designer
Hi! I'm Leah. My partner Dave and I collaborate on all kinds of art projects. Dave is an illustrator, and I love to play with fabric. We came up with the idea for Yumyos together. We wanted to see his characters come to life. And they sure have!
Yumyos are all completely unique because each one is lovingly hand made by Leah Moses.
Yumyos are made to order, so the pictures are for reference regarding size and color. No two Yumyos are exactly alike.

Additional policies and FAQs
If needed, Yumyos can be washed on cold in a washing machine and then air dried. Yumyos should not go in the dryer. If put in the dryer your Yumyo's eye may no longer be secure and could become a choking hazard for very small children. As such, Yumyos may not be suitable for very small children.
