Evolution of a Hobby
Yuuana's Treasure Trove started life as Yarncrafts by Yuuana, a needed outlet for Lise's crocheting. Crochet had long been a hobby, but when she became long-term disabled in 2009, it became more than just a sometimes thing. Yarn was soothing and the simple repetitions of crochet and knitting countered growing anxiety and stress. But as much as she was benefiting from the creation process, something needed to be done with the results.
However, it didn't take long to realize there was more to offer than just yarncrafts. Between being slightly magpie-type and having spent large chunks of her life in the coastal Pacific Northwest (where curio shops are a staple of the tourist trade), "Treasure Trove" seemed the logical choice when it came time to rebrand the store. Amigurumi pals cozy up to tarot readings, potholders share shelf space with baby blankets, with notions of other hand-crafted treasures circling in the wings.

So my secret's out, I'm actually a little black cat that one day learned to knit. Being a cat can have its advantages, though! What animal could be better suited to the mystical tarot? When I'm not being a crafty cat, I'm also a writer & gamer cat
The enigmatic Jonah handles the Washington end of the business, taking care of the photographing and shipping of stock items.
I have been doing crochet for more than ten years now, equally comfortable working with patterns or crafting my own. Still new to knitting, but I'm learning! If you see an item here that you like but would rather have in other colors, please convo me and we can work out a custom order.
I have been reading the tarot for fifteen years (and change), and while I definitely have my deck preferences, I can and do work with all the ones I post listings with. Please bear in mind that readings take time - you are paying for both my insight and an hour or more of my time, not just a PDF.
