This is the second year that I have ordered them to use as part of our Advent wreath. They are beautifully made candles and burn evenly.

Teacups were very popular for Mother's Day this year so we had to make more. This one is a favorite from this batch (if there can be such a thing!)
So excited to be back in the field with the bees beebeebee Did you know the honey from these hard working girls goes into our lip balms? So grateful they provide such a bounty each year! honey_potyum

About

Forever making...

I have been creating things for as long as I can remember, and I am often inspired to create based on my experiences travelling, playing music, eating, and more. My first memorable exposure to bees was when I was quite young, and it was NOT a pleasant experience! Actually, when is being stung by a small creature ever pleasant? Later in life, I had the opportunity to work at an apiary for a few summers. At the time, I did it to get over my fear of bees, but I grew to love it despite even more unpleasant stinging experiences. I moved to the city to attend university and eventually found myself volunteering to make candles for a fundraiser. I was immediately addicted. Since then, I have made a LOT of rolled beeswax candles and expanded into the realm of solid candles including scents and colours. I've also started to create bath and body products specifically formulated for Calgary's dry climate (although they are great elsewhere as well!). As a musician, the holiday season is hard on lips - there are a lot of concerts and rehearsals to attend - and the dryness of the season is not beneficial for lips. I found conventional lip balms either needed to be wiped off my lips before playing or I would have a mess to deal with on my instrument after playing. I needed something that would keep my lips in top shape and not make a mess of my instrument, so I set out to create it! Experimenting is something I love to do, so I am constantly creating and testing new potential products. The summer of 2016 also marked my first full season of beekeeping!
