Mast General has teamed up with Nija'nu A.C. in an ongoing effort to support indigenous elderly Mexicans living in poverty. Half of all quilt purchases will be donated to Nija'nu A.C., a non-profit organization based in Santo Domingo Tonalá, Mexico. Nija'nu A.C. supports elderly members in their community who live in poverty by providing monthly food aid, specialized healthcare visits, and improved living conditions. In 2008, I had the opportunity to meet Co-founder and Project Director, Karen Rasmussen, and was inspired by her work. Read more about their mission at http://www.nijanu.org.

I don't know how in the world I got the quilt to do this

About

You deserve to be warm.

Way back when I told my partner's grandma (who is a fellow quilter) that I was interested in learning how to quilt, she grabbed my arm, gave me a serious look, and said, "Buddy, you don't know how much fun you're gonna have." I had no idea that quilting was going to be that much fun, but it turns out that she was spot on.

What interests me most about quilting is that intersection between art and utility. As a quilter, you're not just concerned with aesthetics and making things look nice, you're also thinking about function, and how that function is to give someone comfort, warmth, and security. I think about this with every quilt that I make.

It's important to me that you love your quilt as much as I do. If you're unhappy in any way with an item you've ordered, please let me know as soon as possible.

I launder all quilts before shipping to check for any defects in materials or workmanship. Quilts that have been further laundered after reaching their delivery destination will not be accepted for return.

Please contact me within 48 hours of your purchase being delivered to you if you are returning an item.

I will accept items returned in their original condition- unsoiled, unlaundered, and unaltered in any way. Please note that all items for return must be shipped in the same kind of packaging as they were originally shipped.

Once the item has reached me and has been determined to meet the above criteria, I will gladly refund the purchase price, minus shipping (both ways).

Item must be returned within 10 business days.

Fundraiser caveat: If a quilt was purchased during a fundraiser, and the charitable donation has already been made to the receiving charity, I can only refund the remaining portion of the purchase price.
