About zasra

Sales 3,539
On Etsy since 2010

Zasra is a folksie, boho inspired, one of a kind, eco clothing, accessories, and vintage shop.

Zasra came to be in 2010, from a long, withstanding dream to own my own business, and to do what I love. I have always created in some form of art, from beading jewelry, knitting, painting, mixed media collage, scrapbooking, pottery, stained glass work, to mosaic.

I was wanting to get back into the work force after being a stay at home mother for the past 10 years. I really wanted to find a way to be creative, and still be available as much as possible for my preteen and teenage girls.

So, after being gifted a tee shirt skirt, I convinced my mother to sew one for me, from my own design, out of thrifted materials. My friends loved my design and wanted me to make them each one, and so we went to work making a skirt for them. Once my mother was able to see the response from my friends, she agreed to sew my eco clothing designs.( which took a bit of convincing as she grew up sewing from a pattern, all of my designs are freeform) I quickly started dreaming of new design ideas, and was encouraged by my friends and family to try selling my mosaics, mixed media collages, hand painted jewelry and my eco clothing designs on Etsy and at our local Farmer's Market. I opened Zasra, here on Etsy and signed up to sell at our local Farmer's Market. At the Farmer's Market, Zasra was a hit, as I sold most of what my mother and I created, and I did all of the markets that summer thru the fall.

Etsy however, took a while to get up and rolling smoothly. With the success in my local community I was encouraged to stay on course with patience that Etsy would eventually take off. With constant determination, fabulous Etsy customers, whom many have become dear friends, I have been blessed to work solely now from my etsy shop, which has enabled me to continue being at home with my 3 daughters, 3 siberian huskies, and 1 playful kitty, whom you will see on occasion trying to steal the spotlight in my photographs. :D

I have big dreams for Zasra and would love to fulfill them. Some of my dreams are having my girls designing along side me, making this a big family business. Another is connecting Zasra to a global cause, as I have been so inspired by companies like Tom's. I believe in the blood, sweat, sometimes tears and heart of small business, as well as living an eco friendly lifestyle as much as possible, forever growing my knowledge.

I am so very thankful to God, my family, my customers, and the etsy community.

Hello, my name is Andria, and I am the designer of Zasra designs. I am also a wife, mother of 3 girls, 3 dogs, 2 cats, and a bearded dragon. I am so glad you are here, exploring my shop and my policies. I check in on my shop several times a day, generally, all 7 days a week, so if you ever have a question, please send me a convo.

In my shop you will find one of a kind, handmade, eco friendly creations by my Mom and I, as well as beaded jewelry and eco made accessories ( made solely by me) and a fun mix of great vintage finds, picked up while hunting for my eco fabrics.

I hope you will follow my Facebook page, Instagram and Pinterest( search Zasra) as I update all new listings, sales promotions and opening for custom work there.

Many, many thoughtful hours each week go into this process. From shopping for every fabric for each eco design, to designing & cutting out, collaborating on the fit and design during the sewing process ( this is where my Mother steps in as she is the main seamstress for the clothing) , adding handmade, dyed, embroidered artwork, as well as handmade, "Zasra " brand tags.... To photographing each piece with an actual model to show proper fit and style as well as to give fashion ideas. Then the final is to list and promote. I also custom design the clothing tags that come with each eco clothing piece.

We absolutely love what we do and thank you from the bottoms of our hearts for your support and interest in our little Etsy shop called, Zasra!

Happy day to you~

I take great care in photographing and describing my pieces with accuracy. Please read through all info regarding SIZING. I advise you to take measurements of yourself, or a similar item, to get an accurate idea of the sizing. Please contact me if you have any questions or concerns prior to purchasing.

Sorry NO REFUNDS, but I will try my best to accommodate you, if in fact something is not right with your purchase. Customer satisfaction is my # 1 priority ~ I may consider an exchange of items, if contacted within 3 days of receiving your item. No exchanges on Custom Work.
~ Paypal payment preferred

~ I am now accepting Etsy Gift Certificates and direct/credit payment.

HOLD Policy~ Hold/reserves on eco clothing/ vintage/ accessories can be done free of charge for 24 hours, anything longer will require a down payment and balance must be paid in full within 1 month time. NO exchanges will be allowed for a piece you may like "better" as I roll out new designs, before your hold piece is picked up.
I ship through USPS standard with insurance priority ( 3 day), as I want to give you the quickest yet affordable shipping. I am now shipping all orders out every Monday due to working a full time other job along with running my shop.

UPDATE Oct 6th 2011~
For all INTERNATIONAL customers, I ship standard first class shipping using USPS, which is the lowest cost to you. I will say they have recently changed policy and now the # on the package that was previously trackable, is no longer trackable. Once your package is shipped, I have no way of knowing where it is and I keep proof of all shipped items, so therefore I cannot be held liable if the package does not show up.

If you want to be able to track your package, along with insurance, I would suggest upgrading to at least priority, which will run an average of $ 30-$40. Please convo me with any concerns or if you would like to upgrade and I can get you a price quote.

UPDATED May 16th 2014~ To all INTERNATIONAL buyers, you are likely to be charged additional import tax or custom fees from your country that are solely your responsibility, and have nothing to do with me, my shop, Etsy, or the US carrier( I use USPS) that delivered your package to your country. Please be advised if you are unaware of this possibility, to check with your postal deliverer before ordering.

Overwhelmingly, I have great success shipping abroad to all of my wonderful international customers, thank you for your continued business!
Additional policies and FAQs

NEW CHANGE OF POLICY effective Jan 19th,2013~ In order to create your custom, One of a KiND Zasra design, I will need a FULL payment + 15% custom fee + shipping fees all paid up front to start the order.

When you purchase this custom order request, you are saying "YES " to leaving me, the designer, with the final artistic decision to select and design your piece from the info you have provided and my best efforts to find the colors & prints you desire. All custom orders are non-refundable -returnable as great care has been taken to create your piece and cannot be resold. PLEASE read carefully all of my policies and the actual custom listing order BEFORE purchasing. Thank you!

Our Eco Clothing & Accessories are one of a kind designs made from gently used, second hand clothing, remnant fabrics and trims etc. The clothing is not donated to me, I shop for each piece that I design with. As you request a piece similar in color to one that has sold, I will strive to find that color, but I am in a small city, with limited selection, and I seek high quality, second hand, fabrics. This is an artistic process, you give me a vision and I create the best possible version from the information given. If you are someone that wants color and patterns "exact" this process is probably not for you, and I would suggest a local seamstress to create something you can really be a part of in choosing color/pattern selections.

I LOVE that you will never have 2 designs exactly alike, unique just like you and me. Each piece is handmade by my Mom and I, from start to finish, and we take the utmost care while designing, producing, photographing and shipping.

When taking your measurements, take into consideration the desired fit and measure accordingly.

You measure around your waist ( not at the bellybutton, right where you would envision your pants resting, just above the hips ) Hips need to be measured in the widest area all the way around. Length, please take an inseam measurement( crotch to bottom desired length). I will also need a front and rear rise( same, waistband seam to center crotch and then repeat for backside).

For the bodice you measure the fullest area around. Then measure shoulder width, sleeve length, bicep width around ( again widest spot), also length and waist if applicable.

PLEASE take into consideration that each design is loving hand sewn, which includes hand taken apart... so a quick convo is always appreciated BEFORE purchasing and requesting alterations. I am happy to hem unwanted extra length for free up to 3". Anything over 3" removed NEEDS to be approved before purchasing, as well as adding additional fabric for length and expect an additional fee for the extra alteration service. Here again though, it would be ideal to chat about the piece interested in to see with me if it is even possible, sometimes the request is too time intensive ( like making an entire new piece would make more sense). With this in mind, I strongly suggest taking your measurements & comparing with the measurements listed on each new eco design and vintage design.

CLOTHING ~ All are machine washable on gentle cycle. I would advise line dry, as this is best for tee shirt jersey material. Especially with the vintage necktie pieces as most of my neckties are made out of silk and are delicate.

Vintage finds is a new section to my shop, with all my pieces that I find, I will list special care instructions if there are any on the specific listing.

JEWELRY ~ It is advised that you remove pieces before sleeping, showering and sport activity for best possible care, as sweat and water will weaken beading cord over prolonged exposure.

WHOLESALE~ Not at this time, thank you for your interest.
