Shop policies
I appreciate your support, and hope to offer some things that will inspire some of the other fiber artists out there.
Please read all of my policies for answers to most common questions.
All the best,
Maiysha

Accepted payment methods
Returns and exchanges
Please note that an international package will not be deemed "lost" until 10 weeks after mailing with no sign of delivery. If a package is in fact lost, I will replace the contents of the package to the best of my ability, or offer store credit. I will never leave you hanging! I can not offer a refund if a package is lost by the postal service. I will rectify any mailing mishaps. I do not "wash my hands of it" once a package is mailed.
Returns accepted for store credit only.
Payment
I accept Paypal, Direct Checkout (all major credit cards), and Etsy Gift Cards
If you send an echeck via paypal- I am obligated to wait until that echeck clears before I ship.
RESERVING ITEMS:
While I am happy to reserve an item for you until your payday or other time requirement- (Just ask!) if I need to reserve something for a week or more- no coupons or discounts can be applied to those items.
A specific time should be set up for the payment of reserved items. Please include the perceived date of payment in your reservation request. If payment is not made within 24 hours of that date, and no convo is sent explaining the delay, the item will be listed to the public. If an item goes unpaid on the arranged date more than once, I will no longer be able to reserve items for that person. That person can, of course,
buy an item and pay for it on the same day, as per the norm.
Thank you for understanding. :)
Shipping
***All orders including a spindle ship priority in the US, while a quantity of 1 or 2 fiber listings will ship first class. 3 or more listings of fiber will travel via USPS Priority mail.
Unfortunately, I can not be responsible for customs and other charges that may be charged by countries other than the US to which I am shipping. Purchases will not be marked as "gift" on the customs forms to avoid fees- so please do not ask for me to do this. Dishonesty on customs forms carries hefty fines and penalties.
I have a very "mommy oriented" 4 year old boy and also a sweet 7 year old daughter- so most of the work I do is nocturnal (when I can manage it), and there is not a spare second in my world in general!! Please keep in mind that I am work at home mom, and I do my best to juggle a busy shop and my household and motherly duties.
**FOR ALL ORDERS: Please make sure the Etsy address you have provided is the correct address. With the shipping program I use I will copy and paste the address you have entered in Etsy when printing your postage. Making sure the address is correct at checkout is very important to insure accurate delivery!
I try to reuse packing material when I can, and I have switched to bio degradable bubble wrap. I also use EcoEnclose biodegradable poly mailers for non-fragile items.

It is not possible for me to give exact shipping transit times, especially for international orders. The only guaranteed shipping service as far as delivery date is Express Mail. Please let me know if you would like to upgrade to Express Mail.
International shipping times range from 2 weeks to 8 weeks. The longest time I have experienced was a package to Canada that took 10 weeks, and it was a package that was randomly stopped at customs.
I ship First Class International, a service that is most cost effective, but does not come with tracking. Please let me know if you would like to upgrade to a service that comes with tracking. There is a significant price increase for international shipping that has tracking.

Again- my husband has a very demanding job, and I have no one to help out most of the time. I am always trying to figure out how to balance everything- my two children, who are the most important things in my life, my home and household duties, and of course my shop and shipping. Please be patient with me as I do my best to work out all of these ever changing logistics regarding time and efficiency.
If you need something that you have ordered extremely quickly or for a specific date, please let me know along with your order, and we can arrange something to accommodate your needs.
Additional policies and FAQs
The whorls are "removable", but keep in mind that if you do want to do a lot of removing and adding whorls, you will wear down the rubber component over time. I like to keep mine attached- just to keep the rubber looking fresh and intact. If you do wear the heck out of the rubber, and decide you no longer like the look of it- I will replace the worn rubber piece if you send it back to me.
This style of spindle is not rim weighted, like some other spindles out there- so they will not spin for years. I test each spindle to be sure they are well balanced, and spin well. They are more center weighted in general- which makes them spin faster. Some of the stones I use are cut so they are somewhat "rim weighted"- thicker at the edges and thinner in the center.
***PLEASE properly care for you hand dyed fibers. :)
Professional Wash Fast Acid dyes are tested to 105 degrees F MAX for washfastness, and some colors are more washfast than others. When you set your yarns or felt your piece, please be sure to use cool water. Lukewarm water is sufficient to felt with. The shock from lukewarm to ice cold will do the trick. Hand spun yarns should not be set in hot water. Again, cool water is recommended.
These fibers are all meant to be washed in cool water with mild detergent and laid flat to dry. Proper handling will ensure your garment's long life.
Se this page for more info on washfast properties and lightfast properties of acid and cellulose dyes (I only use acid dyes, so only those stats apply.) http://www.pburch.net/dyeing/FAQ/lightfastness.shtml
