Wowed by jewelry & fashion from times past...

My venture into selling online started in the late 2000's, however my love for vintage items began back in the 1980's as a teenager.

Originally from Los Angeles, I would frequent the vintage expos at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium, scour Aardvarks, Buffalo Exchange and any cool thrift stores for old Levis, vintage dresses and coats! Oh how I love vintage coats. My passion turned toward vintage and antique jewelry in the 1990's onward. It is great fun to be a collector!

Many years later I get married, move to the Pacific Northwest and eventually start Zephyr Vintage, which focuses on vintage jewelry and accessories. Having the knowledge of what is collectible from a collector’s standpoint has been tremendously useful in this business. Meanwhile, I have been selling professionally since 2009 and continue to learn more about collectible designers, styles and materials.

It has been a great experience selling amongst the etsy community. It is a joy connecting with people from all over the world and all walks of life.

Thank you for visiting Zephyr Vintage! We specialize in vintage and antique jewelry from the Victorian era through the early 1990’s. In addition to our wide range of jewelry, you will also find vintage fashion accessories, vanity items, kitchen and home decor goods in our shop.

We strive to curate a wide selection of high quality vintage goods. We aim to be as thorough as possible by carefully photographing, researching and describing our pieces, so that buyers can feel secure they are getting a product that will meet and exceed their expectations. Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:

Returns and exchange details
Your satisfaction is our priority. As such, in each listing we give approximate measurements, weight (when applicable), a full description of the item indicating any flaws or damage and several photos to give an accurate representation of our pieces. We encourage buyers to contact us with any questions ahead of time and carefully review the item of interest before completing your purchase.

In most cases all sales are considered final, but we are willing to work with buyers on full price items only. There are typically no returns for reasons of size, improper fit or color variation as those details are provided. Below are instructions to request a return:

1. The buyer must contact us within three (3) days from delivery to discuss any concerns. If accepted, the item must be shipped back postmarked within seven (7) days from an agreed upon return. After that time frame no returns or exchanges are accepted. No exceptions.

2. If we agree to accept a return, a 20% restocking fee and original shipping paid on the order will be deducted from the refund. A store exchange is another option and considered on a case by case basis.

3. Buyers pay return shipping and for any additional shipping costs on exchanged items. Return shipping must include delivery tracking and insurance to cover damage or loss during transit.

4. Items must be returned in the original condition they were in when sent. If there was any altering or damage, we cannot offer a refund in these scenarios.

5. Any items returned without prior communication and/or if your package is returned undelivered or refused, the item will either be shipped back to the buyer as a final sale or a 20% restocking fee and original shipping will be deducted from a refund. The choice is at the seller’s discretion and is non-negotiable. This is also the case for any international shipments that are refused and/or not retrieved and returned to the seller due to non-payment of taxes, duty, VAT, GST or any other customs fees.

6. IMPORTANT >>> All sales are final on items purchased with a coupon code, discounted by the seller or that were bought on sale.

We accept payment via Etsy payments only. However, you have the option of purchasing as a guest and not have to sign up for an Etsy account.

>> RESERVES <<
We can only reserve items up to 1 day for new clients and up to 3 days for returning clients. We will not reserve items at all during peak holiday shopping periods (i.e. November & December).
Shipping
Items are shipped within 1 to 3 business days of receiving payment. We ship Monday - Friday, except on postal holidays or major holidays. If we are unable to ship within that time frame, you will be notified via an etsy message and/or an announcement in the listing above the description will state our next shipping day.

TO ENSURE BUYER/SELLER PROTECTION WE ONLY SHIP TO THE CONFIRMED ADDRESS ON THE ORDER. WE WILL NOT CHANGE THE ADDRESS ON A SHIPPING LABEL ONCE THE ORDER HAS BEEN PLACED. PLEASE BE SURE YOUR ADDRESS IS UP-TO-DATE IN YOUR ETSY ACCOUNT AND/OR ENTER IN ANY ALTERNATE SHIPPING ADDRESSES AS NEEDED DURING CHECKOUT PRIOR TO COMPLETING PAYMENT.

>> DOMESTIC SHIPPING<<
We offer free domestic shipping for the majority of our items. Shipping within the United States is via USPS First Class Mail. Shipping services included are delivery tracking and insurance. Items over 16 oz are shipped with either USPS standard mail or priority mail. Any item(s) in the amount of $250 or more will be shipped with signature confirmation.

>> INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING <<
We offer international shipping to a limited number of countries via USPS first class international mail, insured. If you do not see your country shown as an option in the listing, please inquire about rates and understand these costs are non negotiable.

International customers are responsible for any and all additional taxes, duty, VAT, GST or other customs fees incurred on international packages. This is not included in the shipping price, nor does etsy collect these fees upon payment of your item(s), with the exception of Australia. The seller cannot determine ahead of time the cost for these fees as each country charges a different percentage. Once international orders are shipped, we provide the buyer with a customs number which will also track the package. The buyer is responsible for checking on updates using this information and pay any stated fees in order for successful delivery.

Please be advised that I will not alter or misrepresent the value of the contents, nor mark a package as a "gift" on customs documents.

International orders can take anywhere from 2 to 8 weeks for delivery (sometimes longer), depending upon how quickly the package processes through customs and when the buyer pays any additional fees to retrieve the item.

>> EXPEDITED SHIPPING <<
We offer expedited shipping upon checkout on domestic orders only. If you wish to upgrade shipping, it will need to be added during checkout or adjusted in the listing prior to purchase. We cannot apply expedited shipping fees after an order has been placed. International customers who wish to purchase expedited shipping must contact us ahead of ordering to discuss options and rates.

You can choose to upgrade shipping to either USPS priority mail (2-3 days) or USPS priority express mail (1-2 days). The rates are posted for both options during check out. We also offer the option to purchase signature confirmation and it is recommended for any buyers who do not have a PO Box or secure location for delivery.

If you upgrade to expedited shipping, the order must be placed by 9:00 AM PST to ship out same day. Time to prepare the order and post office cut off times will determine same day or next day shipping. Please contact us prior to purchasing expedited shipping to determine if your package can be shipped within your desired time frame.

>> DAMAGED OR LOST PACKAGES <<
If your item was damaged during the shipping process, we must be notified within (1) one day from delivery, no exceptions. We will request proof of damage via photos (of the box & items) for insurance purposes. You will also be required to complete an affidavit (online) for the insurance company to process the claim. PLEASE NOTE THAT WE DO NOT FILE CLAIMS FOR DAMAGE ONCE THE ITEM HAS SUCCESSFULLY DELIVERED. ANY DAMAGE THAT OCCURS AFTER THE INITIAL DELIVERY IS NOT ELIGIBLE FOR REIMBURSEMENT.

If your package has not shown as delivered via delivery tracking after 20 days for domestic packages and 45 days for international packages, please contact us to initiate a search via USPS. If the package has been determined as lost, seller will file a lost package claim with the insurance carrier. An online affidavit form submitted by the buyer is also required in this scenario.

In either scenario, you will be refunded once the claim has completed processing and the seller is reimbursed.

>> MISSING PACKAGES <<
Please be advised, buyers must have a secure delivery location. Shipping insurance carriers will not accept claims for packages missing or stolen upon a documented final delivery scan. Unfortunately we cannot offer refunds or reimbursement in this scenario. The buyer will be responsible for filing a missing package claim with their local post office and/or reporting the theft to authorities. The option to purchase signature confirmation during checkout is available.

>>> VINTAGE CONDITION <<<
All items are antique or vintage and will show some level of wear due to age and prior use. Age related wear is not considered a flaw. Although we aim to procure our items in the best condition possible, this is the nature of buying vintage goods. Expected level of wear is defined as minor surface scratches, nicks, tiny chips, light tarnish, fading or minor finish loss. If there is anything beyond the expected level of wear, then we make note of it in the description and provide photographs.

>>> MEASUREMENTS <<<
We use a soft ruler to measure most items we offer. Ring sizing is determined by an industry standard professional ring size mandrel. We do not resize rings, nor offer compensation to do so. Understand that measurements may vary slightly from one measuring instrument to another and we do not consider minor variations in size to be a significant error on our part. We strongly advise buyers to know their size requirements ahead of time to determine proper fit.

>>> COLOR <<<
Please understand the mention of color is solely to aid in describing what I see, not how you may interpret that color. Thus color can be very subjective. Also, color can look different from one computer or mobile device to another.

>>> PHOTOS <<<
Please be aware, some photos are taken at close range to show fine detail. This can result in the item appearing larger in the photos than in real life. We do our best to provide photos with props or measuring tools to help represent a perspective of size.

I generally keep your data for the following time period: 7 years.

If you reside in certain territories, including the EU, you have a number of rights in relation to your personal information. While some of these rights apply generally, certain rights apply only in certain limited cases. I describe these rights below:

Access - You may have the right to access and receive a copy of the personal information I hold about you by contacting me. You may also have rights to change, restrict my use of, or delete your personal information. Absent exceptional circumstances (like where I am required to store data for legal reasons) I will generally delete your personal information upon request.

Object - You can object to my processing of some of your information based on my legitimate interests and receiving marketing messages from me after providing your express consent to receive them. In such cases, I will delete your personal information unless I have compelling and legitimate grounds to continue using that information or if it is needed for legal reasons.

Vintage Condition/How We Describe/Buyer Responsibility

All items are sold in "as is" vintage condition (20 to 100+ years old). You can expect some level of wear such as minor surface scratches, tiny chips, light tarnish, fading or minor finish loss. Any damage or flaws beyond that will be noted in the description with photos.

A soft ruler is used to measure all items except rings, which are measured by an industry standard professional ring size mandrel. Measurements can vary slightly from one tool to another. Also color can look different on various devices. We DO NOT consider these things to be a significant error on our part.

It's the buyers responsibility to read the description and review all photos. By purchasing from this shop, you agree to the terms of sale in our shop policies.

What payment options are accepted?

We accept payment via Etsy Payments. You have the option of purchasing as a guest on Etsy and not have to sign up for an account.

When and how do you ship orders within the United States?

Items are shipped within 1 to 3 business days, Monday - Friday except on postal holidays and major holidays.

What if my package arrives damaged or gets lost in the mail?

If your package has not shown as delivered via delivery tracking after 20 days for domestic packages and 45 days for international packages, the seller will file a lost package claim with the insurance carrier.

In both scenarios, refunds are processed once the insurance claim has completed.

Shipping insurance does NOT cover packages missing or stolen upon completed delivery. Once USPS makes a final delivery scan, Zephyr Vintage is not responsible for items missing from the delivery location.

What are your return policies?

All sales are considered final. Your satisfaction is our priority, therefore return requests are reviewed on a case by case basis. PLEASE READ SHOP POLICIES FOR MORE DETAILS.

We must be contacted within 3 day from delivery to discuss any concerns. If a return is accepted, the item must be shipped back postmarked within 7 days. No exceptions!

Can I cancel my order?

Once an order has been placed, we can only cancel the order if the shipping label for your package has not yet been printed. Once a shipping label is issued for your item, then no cancellations can be processed at that point.

Can I reserve an item?

We only reserve items up to 1 day for new clients and up to 3 days for returning clients. We will not reserve items during peak holiday shopping periods (i.e. November & December).

How is my item packaged for shipping and/or do you offer gift wrapping service?

Our jewelry items are placed in a white cotton jewelry box with an organza bag. Rings are placed in either in a velvet ring box or white cotton jewelry box and an organza bag. Jewelry items are shipped with either a padded bubble envelope or cardboard box, depending upon size and fragility.

Our non jewelry items are packaged with bubble wrap, peanuts, paper or other materials to safely and securely ship your item. Most are sent in a sturdy cardboard box.

We offer gift wrapping of your purchase per your request at no extra charge. We are happy to create a beautiful package for you.
