Wowed by jewelry & fashion from times past...

My venture into selling online started in the late 2000's, however my love for vintage items began back in the 1980's as a teenager.

Originally from Los Angeles, I would frequent the vintage expos at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium, scour Aardvarks, Buffalo Exchange and any cool thrift stores for old Levis, vintage dresses and coats! Oh how I love vintage coats. My passion turned toward vintage and antique jewelry in the 1990's onward. It is great fun to be a collector!

Many years later I get married, move to the Pacific Northwest and eventually start Zephyr Vintage, which focuses on vintage jewelry and accessories. Having the knowledge of what is collectible from a collector’s standpoint has been tremendously useful in this business. Meanwhile, I have been selling professionally since 2009 and continue to learn more about collectible designers, styles and materials.

It has been a great experience selling amongst the etsy community. It is a joy connecting with people from all over the world and all walks of life.

Thank you for visiting Zephyr Vintage! We specialize in vintage and antique jewelry from the Victorian era through the early 1990’s. In addition to our wide range of jewelry, you will also find vintage fashion accessories, vanity items, kitchen and home decor goods in our shop. We regularly add fresh items to our shop, so please include Zephyr Vintage in your favorites and check back from time to time.

Below is a complete summary of our shop policies. Please take the time to read through them prior to purchasing. Your satisfaction is of the utmost importance to us. Questions before making your purchase are encouraged and welcomed. We are happy to assist!

We accept payment via Paypal and Etsy payments. With either method, you have the option of purchasing as a guest and not have to sign up for an account.

We can only reserve items up to 1 day for new clients and up to 3 days for returning clients. We will not reserve items at all during peak holiday shopping periods (i.e. November & December).
Shipping
Seller will ship within (3) three business days of receiving payment. Typically items are shipped next day. We ship Monday - Friday, except on major holidays.

Shipping within the United States is via USPS First Class Mail. Shipping services included are delivery confirmation and shipping insurance. We offer free shipping on jewelry items. All other items are subject to shipping fees. Items over 16 oz are shipped with either USPS standard mail or priority mail. Any item(s) in the amount of $250 or more will be shipped with signature confirmation.

We offer international shipping to a limited number of countries via USPS first class international mail service. We may consider shipping to countries not listed in our shipping profiles, and if we do, we will ONLY ship via USPS Global Express Mail Flat Rate Envelope (which includes insurance & tracking). Please contact us for rates.

International customers are responsible for any additional taxes, duty, VAT or other fees incurred on international packages. This is NOT included in the shipping price. Prices vary and payment will be required for delivery of your item. It is the responsibility of the buyer to research and pay any and all additional fees for their respective country.

Please be advised that I will not alter or misrepresent the value of the contents, nor mark a package as a "gift" on customs documents.

>> DAMAGED OR LOST PACKAGES <<

If your item was damaged during the shipping process, we must be notified within (1) one day from when it was delivered, no exceptions. We will request proof of damage via photos (of the box & items) for insurance purposes. Also, we will request that you complete an affidavit (online) for the insurance company to process the claim. This is required to complete the claim,

If your package has not shown as delivered via delivery tracking after 20 days for domestic packages and 45 days for international packages, please contact us to initiate a search via USPS. If the package has been determined as lost, seller will file a lost package claim with the insurance carrier. An online affidavit form submitted by the buyer is also required in this scenario.

In either scenario, you will be refunded once the claim has completed processing and the seller is reimbursed.

Please be advised, buyers must have a secure delivery point. Shipping insurance carriers will NOT accept claims for packages missing or stolen upon completed delivery. Once USPS makes a final delivery scan, Zephyr Vintage is not responsible for items missing from the delivery location. No refunds or reimbursement are granted in this scenario. The buyer will be responsible for filing a missing package claim with their local post office and/or reporting the theft to authorities.
Refunds and Exchanges
All sales are considered final, however your satisfaction is important. If you have any concerns about your purchase, please contact us within 3 days from delivery to discuss a return or exchange. A return is typically only granted if the item is significantly not as described. We are more flexible with offering a store exchange.

There are no returns, exchanges or refunds on items purchased with a coupon code or that were discounted in any manner. These items are a final sale. The only exception is if purchasing with a special coupon code or promotion offered exclusively to our returning customers via newsletter, social media or card with purchase. These discounts are exempt.

Buyers need to review all aspects of the item description prior to purchasing. We provide enlarged photos for detail. Also, please note that our items will look larger in the photos than in real life. Measurements, weight (when applicable) and any other descriptive info are included, as well as any significant flaws or damage. All items are vintage, so there will be some level of wear. (see our description of vintage in FAQ's). Questions prior to purchase are welcomed.

To initiate a return/exchange please refer to the instructions below:

1. A request for return/exchange must be made within 3 days from delivery (as shown on delivery tracking info) and the item must be shipped back within 4 days from when the seller authorizes the return and/or exchange. If contacted or shipped back beyond this time frame, a 20% restocking fee will be deducted from a refund. No exceptions.

2. The buyer pays all shipping costs to return or exchange an item, unless it was significantly not as described.

3. Please return the item in the gift box and/or bag sent. Returns should be shipped with delivery tracking. Please provide us the tracking information following shipment. We highly recommend the purchase of insurance as buyers are responsible for the risk of loss or damage.

4. Items authorized for a return/exchange that are received back with any altering or damage that wasn't already existing or discussed when initiating a return, will not be eligible for a refund. The item will promptly be shipped back to the buyer and considered a final sale.

5. A 20% restocking fee will be deducted from a refund if any items are returned without prior communication and/or if your package is returned undelivered or refused and/or if any returns are granted past the 3 day return period.
Additional policies and FAQs
Our number one goal is to create a positive buying experience, one where you will want to return and shop with us again. However, it is the buyers responsibility to review all aspects of the item description which include measurements and photos. Also, color can vary from one computer or mobile device to another.

What is vintage condition?

Due to the nature of what we sell, all items are sold in "as is" vintage condition. All items we offer range in age from 20 - 100+ years old. Therefore you can expect some level of wear. Expected level of wear is defined as minor surface scratches, nicks, tiny chips, light tarnish, fading or minor finish loss. If there is anything beyond the expected level of wear and tear from age and prior use, then we make note of it in the description and provide photographs.

What payment options are accepted?

We accept payment via Paypal or Etsy Payments. With either method, you have the option of purchasing as a guest and not have to sign up for an account.

When and how do you ship orders within the United States?

Items are shipped within 1-3 business days, Monday - Friday except on major holidays.

Delivery times vary and can take anywhere from 2 - 12 weeks on international orders.

Is expedited shipping available?

Yes, we do offer expedited shipping.

For domestic packages, you can choose to upgrade shipping to either USPS priority mail (2-3 days) or USPS priority express mail (1-2 days). The rates are posted for both options during check out.

For international packages, please contact us prior to purchasing for expedited shipping rates. They are not provided during check out and will need to be calculated based on weight, value of item and location.

If you wish to upgrade your shipping, it will need to be added during checkout or adjusted in the listing prior to purchase. We cannot apply expedited shipping fees after an order has been placed.

What if my package arrives damaged or gets lost in the mail?

If your item was damaged during transit, please contact us upon delivery. To process the insurance claim, we will require proof of damage via photos (of the box & items) and the buyer must complete an online affidavit form.

Can I cancel my order?

Once an order has been placed, we can only cancel the transaction if we have not yet printed up a shipping label. We ship typically within 1 day and often the same day an order has been placed.

Can I reserve an item?

We only reserve items up to 1 day for new clients and up to 3 days for returning clients. We will not reserve items during peak holiday shopping periods (i.e. November & December).

How is my item packaged for shipping and/or do you offer gift wrapping service?

Our jewelry items are placed in a white cotton jewelry box with an organza bag. Rings are placed in either in a velvet ring box or white cotton jewelry box and an organza bag. Jewelry items are shipped with either a padded bubble envelope or cardboard box, depending upon size and fragility.

Our non jewelry items are packaged with bubble wrap, peanuts, paper or other materials to safely and securely ship your item. Most are sent in a sturdy cardboard box.

We offer gift wrapping of your purchase per your request at no extra charge. We are happy to create a beautiful package for you.
