My new favorite necklace! After a little mixup with shipping, seller included a very cute extra necklace in my package as well! Thank you! I will definitely be getting more from this shop in the future.
Handmade Jewelry & Geekery
I started wire-wrapping jewelry as a kid. My best friend's mother taught me the basics and I've been experimenting and developing ever since. I can never resist neat beads or an interesting stone... but there's a limit to how much jewelry one single person needs, and I was making (way) more than I could use.
Around 2011, I started selling my jewelry on Etsy, mostly to pay for my hobby.
A few years ago, I expanded my jewelry making with metalworking, after taking evening classes and figuring more things out as I went. It opened a new world of possibilities - and challenges - as I strived to contain my "studio" to an Ikea desk in a corner of my Brooklyn apartment.
In early 2014, I started lost wax casting, which has allowed me to branch out in creating new dimensions in my pieces. It's also a lot more kid-friendly, as instead of having blazing hot metal and compressed gas in my studio, I have wax and wax dust.
Then, in October of 2014, we moved to the country. Now I have a longer commute, but I also have my own dedicated studio space, even if it is a teeny tiny room.
Still, I'm quite proud of what I can do with minimal tools. I still do all of my metal work with a hand saw, a single rotary tool, and a hand-held butane torch. It's real handmade.
Divorce lawyer by day, crafter by night/weekend. I started making wire-wrapped jewelry many moons ago. A few years ago, I branched out into metalworking, and even more recently lost wax casting. Making things makes me happy.

Additional policies and FAQs
I love international orders, and am happy to ship anywhere in the world. Please note, however.
- Import duties, VAT, taxes, and other charges imposed by your country are not included in the item price or shipping charges. These charges are the buyers responsibility. It is not possible for me to pre-pay import duties or handling charges of your country at the time of posting.
- Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to buying.
- These charges are normally collected by the delivering freight or shipping company or when you pick the item up, do not confuse them for additional shipping charges.
If you would like to figure out whether import duties will be applicable to your order, and approximate how much they will be, try this link: www.dutycalculator.com/new-import-duty-and-tax-calculation
I will not and cannot mark packages as "gift" on customs forms. Not only is it illegal (and exposes me to fine, jail time, and the loss of my law license!), but Etsy shipping tool fills out most of the information automatically, including the "merchandise" category. I fill out custom forms accurately and truthfully, so please do not ask me to falsify information of any kind. I report the full retail value on our customs forms for insurance purposes.
Knowing the prohibited and restricted items to your country is your responsibility as the Buyer.
