Communication with the Seller was good and i saw photos of it before it was despatched. Berna was very professional and i will certainly consider to buy from her again. J

Passion for Handmade Turkish Rugs
We grew up with our traditional carpets which were acquired by our grandparents over a hundred years ago. Each carpet had its own story, its own stain and its own design.
However over the years, they went out of fashion. People had enough of complex patterns and colors. Carpet owners put their handmade carpets away and started using machine-sewn ones. Then somebody came up with the idea to shave, bleach and dye them with vivid colors. Hence, overdyed rugs were created. Once again, the old carpets were in demand.
In the last decade, we collected many Isparta carpets which were made in mid 1900's. We shaved, purposely distressed and infused them with striking colors to create a whole new kind of contemporary rug.
