Announcement   ▲USA/CANADA ORDERS PLEASE READ:

Economy Shipping is £10 rather than £16 for Standard. Economy packages usually arrive within the same time frame as Standard but Royal Mail quotes 42 days delivery time. If you are a regular customer that prefers Economy Shipping or are ok with working with a potential 42 day timeline please add a note in your order or message me immediately after the order has been placed. I will send a refund for shipping overages once the pottery has been packed.

With International Standard shipping Royal mail aims to deliver within 7 business days after posting. The package can be delayed at customs which is out of their control and I find that most packages arrive within two weeks. Please contact me if your package has not arrived within 21 days of dispatch.

If you'd like an item shipped express, tracked, or signed for please contact me with the details so I can calculate shipping costs as these services may not be available in all countries.

This is simply stunning, the photograph doesn't do it justice at all. It is a beautiful peachy coral with a dribbly line of delicate pale blue and cream inside. It is an absolute delight to use. Thank you Valerie for making a treasure yet again!

Been waiting for a slightly bigger Zoz Pot and got this beauty! The colours are really striking and the glaze drips are just perfect. Thank you!

My pottery room used to be a baby's room so there's all these pictures painted on the wall. I like using little parts of it for my pictures smile It's a really happy room to work in!

About

The Quest of Clay and the Cat

In 2010 I was living in DC, working for the US government and was making a fair bit of money. But, crucially, I was unhappy and didn't want to live my life as some of the grey worker drones I'd seen around me. So, I saved up some money quit my job and set on a quest - to find my passion. I'd been in the army from 18-22 and, after a bit of bouncing around, had worked for the government since - not really focusing on what I wanted from life or what I enjoyed. The first part of my journey was traveling the world - standard fare in terms of self-discovery. I managed to tick off a fair few exotic places - Ecuador (the best), Thailand, Cambodia, India and a few others - but it didn't bring as much satisfaction as I hoped - I hadn't found what I was looking for.

Now, at the same time as I was quitting my job, I met my current (lovely) partner who was doing fieldwork in DC for his PhD. While I was off traveling we kept things going, so when I came "back" from traveling, I came back to the UK - Leeds, to be specific. The story of visas is long, boring and was expensive, so I'll leave that bit out.

In the UK, I continued on my quest and tried a whole load of different things. I tried belly dancing, pole dancing, street dance (I like dancing), I tried to learn French and Spanish, I started drawing, running, cooking, yoga, painting, pastels, paper marbling, knitting and...pottery. While a lot of other things have fallen aside a bit, I took my first pottery class in 2012 and have just kept going.

We moved to Sheffield last year (2014) and I was still going with pottery (started volunteering at a garden and a cat shelter too). After a while, with people keeping on saying my stuff was good enough to sell, I put a few pots on here...and they sold! Just recently we moved house again and it had enough space for me to set up my own studio - so I'm taking Zoz Pots full time! Even better, the new place allows pets so, after some horrible cat-less years, we now have our cute little kitten, Pumpkin. So, I think this is the end of my quest and, hopefully, the start of many clay adventures.

Returns and exchanges
I pack my products carefully for delivery, but there is always a possibility of a product being damaged in transit. If the package is clearly damaged on delivery then please refuse receipt of it from the delivery company, otherwise contact me as soon as possible and I will arrange how to rectify the situation.

I will accept returns for other reasons, unless we clearly state otherwise in the description. I ask that you contact me within 5 days to let me know the product is being returned, and once I have responded that you to pay for the return postage. Once I have received the item back in good condition then I will arrange for a refund or replacement, as agreed between us.

Personalised or commissioned products can not be refunded unless faulty.

If your item does not arrive within 2 weeks from receiving a "dispatched" notification please contact me (for non-UK sales please allow 3 weeks).

I would ask that you please contact me first before leaving negative feedback, as I will endeavour to do what I can to resolve any dissatisfaction.
Payment
I currently take payments through Paypal and directly through Etsy.

I do accept cheques (UK only), but of course, this does mean a bit of a delay in shipping your item as I will have to wait for the cheque to clear. Just send me a message via Etsy and I will send you my address.

Your item will be dispatched within 5 days from receiving a full payment, therefore any cancellations need to be requested as soon as possible and before the item is marked as dispatched.
Shipping
All items are delivered using Royal Mail Second Class services. If you require a tracking information please request this when placing the order by sending me a message. There will be an additional fee for this service as per Royal Mail price list.

If you have any special requests or adaptions of the styles you can see in my shop I can make the pot from scratch ready to be delivered in 2-3 weeks and keep you updated with the order to let you know as soon as it has been dispatched.
Additional policies and FAQs
Please note that colours may vary from your computer screen to the product. I always do my best to demonstrate an accurate colour representation in all of my product images.
