My second mug, absolutely gorgeous as usual. The mugs themselves are the most perfectly wheel spun of any handmade mugs I own. The artist has a real talent for making uniform, symmetrical pieces that look and feel like something you'd buy at a very fancy store. They are quirky and unique thanks to the carvings, speckled clay and different textures, but they aren't the thick, country cabin style mugs you often find. I love those too, and have dozens, but these are more like tableware - thin and elegant. They get piping hot and retain hot on an electric mug warmer (you can ask the artist for a custom made flat bottom mug in that case), and they also pour perfectly without dribbling a drop, should you need that! I'll be back, and highly recommend this shop to all!
