Who can join?

Etsy Relevancy SEO and Stats is a moderated team with the following requirements:

This team is open to any Etsy shop owner who wants to discuss & learn more about SEO, relevancy & GA. It is self-help style - you are expected to read the threads provided & learn the basics on your own. This is not a promotion forum, nor is it a critique forum - please do not post asking for a shop critique or a general "what is wrong with my SEO?" But asking for help with specific optimization problems is OK!

All Etsy forum rules apply - no calling out, discussing other members negatively etc.

Original Post

Etsy officially announces searchability in real English, instead of just American English (yes, "real" is a joke, please don't get mad):
www.etsy.com/blog/news/2012/the-international-flavour-and-flavor-of...

I will try to get a thread going in Site Help (if someone else hasn't already) on what words work. I do know that "jewellery" has worked since last week. As the article say, "watercolour" works, as does "colour". "Humour" works, but "flavour" does not (despite the title of the article). "Grey" however, does work - yea!

It also seems to me that the search ads aren't working, but since you don't see the same thing for each page of the search anyway, it is difficult for me to confirm this.

What have you noticed?

Does this work the other way around too?
If I tag jewelry will it show up in a search for jewellery?

Posted at 5:54 pm Apr 26, 2012 EDT

yes, it seems to work both ways. For some reason, the searches sometimes sort slightly differently for each, but the number of items is the same in both.
