TheSteamPunkFactory SteamCon 2012!

Who can join?

TheSteamPunkFactory has the following requirements:

Suppliers of steampunk supplies (keys, watch parts, etc), Makers of steampunk goods, and lovers of steampunk items are encouraged to join.

You will be required to submit one steampunk treasury within a week of joining but all other treasuries are optional (subject to change) and post it under the "new member treasuries" thread.

Information on fairs and conventions around the US and tips on success (and possibly some trade secrets) will be posted on the occasion, but for the most part, this is about getting your items promoted in exchange for viewing other team member's wares.

In addition to publicity, this team offers REAL world benefits to those who contribute such as steampunk earrings, bookmarks, necklaces and more! Look for chances to win them!

We hope to do some amazing things together like making virtual and posibly real steampunk outfits, digital collages, short stories, and more.

I'm trying to go to SteamCon 2012, but it is freakin' expensive. Just started an IndieGoGo campaign to help me get there Is anyone else going? Would anyone be interested in sharing a room or a booth? My wares (perfumes) are really small so I don't need a whole booth to myself.

If you are talking about the one in Seattle, Washington, I might be interested in sharing the cost of a booth space. My husband would be accompanying me so would be reserving our own room but I totally know what you mean about how expensive it is. I have jewelry which also does not take a huge amount of space and I can go up if not out. I have done good displays on a 3 x 6 foot table and the Steamcon provides 8 x 8 foot space.

If you haven't already applied to be a seller it is almost too late. I have been accepted, but I don't know if I can afford it yet (and it is my senior year in college so I don't know if I can afford to miss classes.
