I'm going to New York for the first time next month to accompany my grand daughter back to Oregon. I'm so excited.

She is attending the Summer Intensive at the American School of Ballet at Lincoln Center. I will only be there for 3 nights and need help paring down my long to see list.
My plan is to see the Museum of Natural History, take a evening tour of the city and see a show.

Can you recommend a show I can take my 13 yr old G D too? , and if there are any good Grower's Markets or Craft Fairs or concerts I can catch. I will arrive Wed. night and fly out Sat. at 5pm. Thanks.

If The Lion King is currently running, that would be an awesome show to see. I saw it in London a few years ago, and it is quite stunning visually.

Thanks Erin, I'm off to check it out.

The Museum of Natural History is a great choice. I saw the brain exhibit last August, which was a lot of fun :)

There are several good shows right now. I've heard good things about Lion King, as Erin suggested. We have tickets to see Book of Mormon, which has had great reviews. Since your granddaughter is a dancer, she may enjoy Fela. I've seen Wicked, which I highly recommend.

Off Broadway, I highly recommend the reproduction of RENT, which I saw last summer when it premiered. I took my daughter to see the original production when she was 14, and she loved it.

As far as outdoor markets, I highly recommend the Union Square Greenmarket

Have a great time!
