Hi teammies -
Here's a place that we can review one another's shop profiles and provide suggestions on how to make it tell an awesome story about us and our designs. To get things going, I'll share my profile link and you can let me know your thoughts. I'm looking forward to reviewing others!!
Here's my link:
You should also know a couple things about me that aren't in the profile (let me know if they should be):
Since I was little, I've been fascinated by color and composition (positioning of things), this comes across in they way I lay out jewelry designs.
Trying new drinks is fun and I love learning about new brands. I like to bring the personality of those brands forward in the styles I create.
Let's start the reviewing!

I think your shop really has a cohesiveness. And I think you've done a great job with photos (something I am working on!) Looking through your shop makes me want to relax with a glass of wine or cocktail! I'm newer to etsy, and I'm still figuring out what I like and what works in my shop, so I don't have any suggestions for making your site better. But I do love how your whole shop feels connected. Please feel free to look at mine and be brutally honest!!

Hi Lori.. I think you have done a very good job in your profile. After I looked at it, and reread your post, I think it would be good to add the additional info that you shared with us about your compulsiveness about colour and composition, and the social aspect of trying new drinks. It certainly shows in your work, and made it even more interesting. I think you have done well, with or without the extra thoughts. .. and as a jeweler myself, I appreciate your attention to detail.

I just had a look at your profile.
I really like your explanation for your shop name, I did wonder why you had a pic of a dog as your avatar, but now it makes complete sense, and is very touching, and apt you should name your shop after your 'upcycled' greyhound!!
That part was great, but I felt the explanation about the wood, although informative, and personal, was a bit long-winded. If I were you I'd try to condense it into fewer words..:-)

Yours seems good to me, short and concise, with a little personal touch.
The only criticism I would have is your mention here of copywrite on your photos.
Is your profile the place to mention this??!!
I would say its a little off-putting, and maybe move it to your Policies section instead??
I would be grateful if someone could look at mine.
I've just updated it to try to incorporate some of the stuff mentioned in that article Lori.
But I don't know whether its any good, I find it hard to know what to include, and what to leave out, there is so much I could put here, but I don't want it to be too long-winded.. It may well be though! Any thoughts greatly appreciated!

I read and reread your profile several times. As I thought over it I felt maybe I would like you to share a unique thought or idea (I know there are no unique ideas, its just how the words are put together that is novel...everything has been said before) because your art is indeed unique. But then I realized your works do have the strength to speak for themselves.
The only change I think you might consider is putting the paragraph where you talk about selling retail and wholesale in different outlets towards the top. For me that is always an endorsement of a shop and its products. You can bring that right towards the top to establish trust and credibility. And then you can go on to explain, as you do, why you chose such an unusual item to work with.
I really enjoyed browsing through your shop. Wonderful work! :)
I do not know about others but I rarely read beyond the "first page" of the profile. So I think you have to say everything you have to say in that first view. I would love to know what other opinions while we are on this subject.

Your pictures are great. You've done a nice job with composition and the lighting is perfect.
Your profile seems good to me also. I'm not an expert by any means but you seem to have included the elements, stated in the article, in your profile.
By reading your profile I feel like I trust your company and your brand and would want to buy from you because you are somewhat of an "expert" in what you do.
Nice job overall.

I read your profile and love it. The only thing I might change is making a smoother transition between the first and second paragraphs. Maybe start paragraph two with the part about children?
Love your shop and what you're doing to love the earth and our children! Well done!

I've just re-done my profile. Would appreciate anyone's opinions on it!
I decided to fit it all on 1 page, as I agree Niraj, most people won't look beyond that!
I don't know if its any better, but....?
Cheers for any input, here's the link:
