We wanted to let you know that USPS.com and USPS web services are currently experiencing a service outage. The outage began at around 11:30 PM EST last night. This has two effects on our members.
1) New tracking information is unavailable: if you enter a USPS tracking number with your shipping notifications, tracking information will not appear when you or your buyers go to check on a shipment. When USPS.com is working again, we will update all tracking information, but for the time being you will see this message: “No tracking information can be detected for this shipment at this time.” If you had previous tracking events, you will see those. If you purchased a shipping label, you will see that a shipping label has been created, but nothing beyond that.
2) Address verification for shipping labels in unavailable. Because address verification is done through USPS.com, we will not be able to verify addresses used in shipping labels at this time. If you would like to double check any shipping label addresses, please contact your buyers directly.
We’ll let you know when things are back up and running.
