listing views vs shop views

Hi all,

Lately my listing views are going up but my shop views are going down is this normal for this to happen from time to time. I think it has been a week now that I noticed the trend of this happening.

How do people look on shop views vs listing views? I would guess listing would be by search but how do they search by shop?

Thanks
Charley

I want my listing views to be a higher number than my shop views. It tells me folks are looking around at more than one thing and spending time in the shop. If they just come in the shop but don't look at any listings then they are not interested I guess. So I always look for more listing views to feel good about my offerings.

Charley, are you promoting things on teams? People can click on a listing there and I think that's counted as a listing view rather than a shop view.
I think it just depends and not something to worry about - all normal.
If I've been active in the forums I get a spike in shop views, whereas if I have been promoting listings in the teams or on social media outlets I'll get a spike in listing views.

:)
Once someone goes to your shop, each time they click on an item to look at it, it counts as a listing view. So ideally you want more listing views than shop views. If someone just looked at your shop and then left it wouldn't be good, would it?
More listing than shop views is good! Means people aren't just looking at the first page of your shop then leaving, they're actually taking a look at listings. :) I tend to get more listing views than shop views and see it as a good thing.

Normal, i think.
I think shop views come from where you are promoting your shop or from other people that saw your shop in favorites.
The listing view is from the search. So i guess if you are getting the shop views is from your own promoting, the other is just for people on their own.
