How to get feedback from customers...

My shop has just recently started getting sales, and I want to know what my customers think. I add a note asking them for input, comments, etc. But I have yet to receive any. Is there a nice way of asking, without sounding like I'm begging for input?

Feedback is optional.

Be careful what you ask for.

No news is good news. :)
Ulia, personally I never ask for Feedback. But if I hear nothing from my Customer (and I know they've received the item); I'll send a Follow Up..."Just checking in to see if you received (Name), taken to the Post Off. on (Date)."

Several Customers have replied they did receive the item; some proceeded to leave Feedback afterwards. Some you never hear from again (and I assume no news is good news). I do the Follow Up so as not to hear 6 months later there is an issue. Many Customers have also expressed they've appreciate the Communication.

Check out Step 5 re: Feedback. As I said, I prefer never to ask for it; but I read this info a while ago.

Ulia, yes be careful what you wish for. There have been lots of threads started due to being burned by feedback. Also, if you purchase from someone on Etsy and leave them feedback then it will show up on your own page...just a thought. Congrats on getting sales! :-)
I would say don't worry about it. It will take care of itself. You won't even think about it a year from now:)
Also, if you buy something, the feedback on your shop page won't be empty.
No news is good news. Following up can lead you open to all types of things, so just be patient. Leave feedback for your buyers and you'll get feedback eventually. :)
I think it would sound as though you were begging for input...and that you aren't confident in your product.
Agreed, don't push for it, it will come!

Only about half of my customers have left feedback. I've had a few that didn't leave FB until a couple of months after their purchase. I wouldn't worry about it, but I understand how you feel. I felt exactly the same way when I was new here.
