Is Etsy going to pay for us to be listed in the new Google Shopping?

Google Shopping is moving to a paid model for listings, starting this fall:

googlecommerce.blogspot.ca/2012/05/building-better-shopping-experie...
searchengineland.com/google-product-search-to-become-google-shoppin...

If Etsy isn't going to pay, do we know when our listings will be removed?

Woah - between that and facebook now giving us the "opportunity" to pay to have our own fans see our business pages ---- this sure feels like a sea change doesn't it?

wow. i am so glad that you keep on top of these things, cindy. i just joined Facebook and it changes and now this.
What I sure do hope that they will pay for it.
Wow.
Wait, what happened to Facebook?
I dunno what I think about it, except to note that from a user's POV, Google shopping is kind of a bust and it would be nice if they could make it usable. It would be great to be able to search the internet for products the way you can search it for information; so far Google shopping has not been that useful, partly because of out-of-date information (and inaccurate information).

So we'll see. Hopefully it will be very cheap?
also from the first link:

All merchants who create Product Listing Ads by August 15, 2012 will automatically receive a monthly credit for 10% of their total Product Listing Ad spend through the end of 2012; and
Existing Google Product Search merchants can receive $100 AdWords credit toward Product Listing Ads if they fill out a form before August 15, 2012.

Does each seller qualify as a merchant? In that case, I would sign up for the $100 in Adwords towards the new product;

or is Etsy the merchant on all our behalves?
Wait, what happened to Facebook?

-If you have a facebook fan page, only a small percentage will see your posts. If you want more people who "LIKE" your page to see you have to cough up a fee. Pretty pathetic I say.
