Search Ads REDICULOUSLY priced!

my least expensive option is $2 so it looks like there are still lower amounts available.
I agree with Caroline, work on your titles. See to it that the words telling what you are selling are up front, you will get better found in search by doing that. So when you sell a bracelet, say so in the first words not at the end of your title.

And stop using the adds :o)
Search ads gave me views, but no sales. I honestly feel they are a total waste of money....
I've learned to limit the number of words chosen. you have to be real picky because if a word you choose is more common for a different product people will be looking at your ad when they are looking for something else.

What i don't get is that etsy requires a minimum number of words used so if you don't have enough words that uniquely describe your product you have to put in less unique words.
I tried search ads with little success. Lots of views, but few sales for the price.
I saw this link in a forum thread a couple days ago
Helps optimize your shop and listings for better results in search engines, SEO, etc..and its free! I just did it on my shop and found the results very interesting and helpful...and I'm seeing an uptick in my stats...
I'm actually biased against anything that shows up in a an ad... so I definitely won't be using search ads. I can see how it would be frustrating to see that increase, but there are lots of other ways to get the word out.

Advertising dollars are wiser spent off site than on site. Just my personal opinion.

I agree with others about focusing on improving our shops. What is the point of paying for ads if people will see less than our best. And, as we grow and learn our shops improve.

Don't let it get you down. If you let every change that happens in online selling make you feel hopeless, you will never succeed. I've been there, most of us have. The trick is to pick yourself up, learn more, and implement as many things as you can that work. Test one new thing at a time so you know if it works or not.

One thing we have here on Etsy is the support of other sellers. I've never experienced that with a B&M selling environment or with a stand alone website.

All the best to you.
