Category Search Results

When I search a category I get 1 page of results. When I click on an item to check out the sellers shop and try to get back to the original search page I have to start all over and scroll through previously viewed items to get to the bottom of the list. There are only a few of the thousands of listings showing. The option to browse all the listings is gone.

Welcome to Categories! Did you encounter this same problem if you hit the back arrow and try to back out of the shop you're looking at?
I did. I was just doing a search on Etsy like I normally do some mornings. I was shocked that when I used the search drop down menus that the results were very limited. As I was looking at some of the listings I would click on them and then on into the seller's shop. If I tried backing out to the original listing page it took me back to the page but to the top of the page. This made me have to scroll down to get back to the listing I had first clicked on. Very frustrating.
And how often will a buyer, especially someone new to the site, do this to keep browsing?
This morning was the first morning I've been on Etsy is a few days. Doing a search with the new drop down boxes results in one page of less than 50 listings. Using the same search criteria used to bring thousands of results. This is ridiculous. I'm interested to find out if it is truly a bug within Etsy site or something new they have implemented. This is real sale killer.
Seems like that could even hurt Etsy - not just individual shops. What if someone doesn't find what they want in that one page of results?
Seems to me this should be in the 'bug reporting' section of the forum.
Did you happen to try using another browser to see if the same thing happens?

I just did a quick keyword search in the category I usually browse in and I got 17 pages of results. I'm using Firefox.
Yeah I wish we could report their test as a bug...

Yeah, unfortunately, it's not a bug! It's the "new" etsy, AKA "pinterest wannabe!"

I would think this will ruin Search not only for us Sellers, but for the potential Buyers, as well!
