Can I no longer renew several items at once

It seems that when I renew several items at once, only one of them show up at the top of the page of that category. Is this on purpose or a fault somewhere in the system?

Just a guess, but maybe because renewals are posted in batches, the second item is farther down within the same batch?
I generally renew 4 items at a time. I've noticed for the last couple of weeks that they will split them all up, with only one of my items on a category page now. They used to all appear in the category together right next to each other.

Dorothy: yes, that is what I noticed as well. It is not good. I find that renewing several items at once make them more noticable on the page. But not when they are split up! So that will just mean that I will either list fewer items pr. day or will have to list fewer items more often. However that will be very time consuming, so that will not work for me.
Has admin said anything about this change?
they've changed the way categories are listed now. (some people have the change, some don't, so I'm guessing it's a trial)

If you renew 4 items, only 1 or 2 will show up on page 1 and the rest will be on page 2 or later. Just look at the renewal times and you'll see they are not in chronological order.
I must admit that renewing 4 items at a time is mostly so I don't have to rearrange those 4 items in my shop on that first line. And I agree they made more of an impact in the category by having all 4 together. I do think that my one individual listing still stands out (at least to me) because I have a fairly unique background for my pots.

One problem it does solve is the folks who renew half their shop can't dominate an entire page in the category - but that was usually rare.

I think the biggest problem with this rearranging within the category is how slow it loads the new items. I don't have the new categories so this isn't a question of how fast the page loads. It's a backlog on all the renewed and brand new items queueing up to be shown. They maintain that no one uses categories and most use search, so why not leave well enough alone and let categories just show what's most recent.
On further reflection, I believe this controlled grouping within the categories is an effort to wean us away from renewing items every day as a method for getting views. They want to force us to use search ads, which in my opinion are dysfunctional. Perhaps they think if we don't see our items show up in the categories solely based on recency we will give in and go with search ads?

Also, I'm sure they think it looks better when all the items are mixed up, as opposed to grouping one seller's work as they renew.

I just wonder why they wouldn't want us to renew our items...i mean .20 a listing is just money in their pockets....
