To renew or not?

I do have a boost in views when I renew. I do have a limit of 5 items per day though. If I list something new I cut back on the 5.
I renew 5 a day plus whatever sells. I agree with Jana that the activity seems to be important to relevancy.

I only renew when I have nothing new to list.

It doesn't seem to help as much as actually listing a new item, though.
I only renew when they are about to expire/
I've been getting lots of views from renewing lately!
I don't renew unless items are ready to expire- I personally prefer to add new items and try to keep tags and titles in good standing with search engines as I understand it....the way I see it is, the more I have in shop, the more chances someone will find my shop...:)
I see that the general consensus is not to renew items to increase relevancy.
But is this the same when we renew SOLD items? If I remake a sold item and use the "renew sold" feature to list it, will that item not be as relevant as if I made a brand new listing for it?
