Logo quality?

I just created and uploaded a new logo for my shop, and it looks horrible! I've saved it as png and jpg, but it doesn't make a difference. It looked fine when I uploaded to a pic sharing site to show some friends, but here on Etsy it looks awful and low quality. What's the deal???

Some colors suffer more when image compression happens during the upload process - hot pink is one of them.
It should turn out exactly the same if you used the correct dimensions.

png is best. Scale should be, 760 pixels by 100 pixels and no larger than 2MB as it reads under the banner upload in Info & Appearance.

I guess dpi could play a factor. 200+ dpi?
I used png, it is 760 x 100 and as far as I can tell it is only 65kb. I checked all of those first, and even tried jpg even though I was pretty sure that png was better.

I believe it is 72 dpi? Should it be 200?
Not sure how much that will improve the quality for non print files but it's worth a shot.
Just tried, and if anything, I think that made it worse.
Bummer. I'd love to see the original... It must be GLORIOUS.

Honestly it doesn't look bad at all from what I can tell.
Thank you :) I actually just switched for another variation that has a bit less hot pink, and that seems to look better.
I think that's a good decision. It's just hot enough to stand out but gently enough to suit your cute items.

DPI doesn't affect anything in web graphics, that's just for print. It's the compression that affects them.
