Keywords in Title and Description

I'm sure this has been answered before, but I'm still on my first cup of coffee and not awake yet ~

In order to rank higher in relevancy, do keywords need to be in the title or description - or can they be descriptive words that someone might look for to find your product?

I put them in the title and repeat them in the description and also
put them in the tags,

I would think every kind of advertising the item gets would help sell it
etsy search does not look at descriptions, but Google does...especially the first 2 lines
There are so many keywords available that I can't use them all in the title and descriptions. However the keywords that I don't use may be used to search for my products.

Big question is - if the keywords aren't used in title & description, are they just filling up space and wasted?
What i do is to do copy and paste to the tittle in the first space of the description. The tags include this words too.

You can see how my items are titled, described and tagged here:

I am not the best seller here but what i am doing now is working better than the things i used to do 6 months before : )
Like BBBsDesigns, I also copy and paste the title into the first line in my descriptions. I use all the words I can in my tags too. It has seemed to help me be found in searches.
And yet I had thought that google is not into redundancy? Maybe that just pertains to repeating the exact same words in the title.

For Etsy, the first 3 words in your title are "the most important" real estate and need to be replicated in your tags as phrases crammed into the 20 character space per tag. Order of Tags is not important.
