How much percentage does Paypal take?

How much percentage does paypal take when you sell an item on Etsy?

Shows how much attention I pay! I'm not even American!
LOL Snug, Canadians start with $0.40, and that exchange is a complete riot!! It's a whole comedy show!!
and the percentage rate is higher for sales to customers in other countries ;-)

I just spit stuff all over my computer screen laughing!
For me in New Zealand it's 3.9%. It's worth it for the ease of handling online payments though; brilliant in fact.
PayPal's fee really is low but I wish they would not include the shipping paid by the buyer in their calculations especially since we don't keep that money!
Do you check every transaction and make sure paypal took the right amount and Etsy is charging the right amount?
