what is the best way to title your listing?

I've tried a simple precise title and I've tried "stuffing" a lot of pertinent words in. The later just looks sloppy to me. What is the best way to title a listing?

The best way is to put the most important words first. This absolutely makes a difference. Meaning, use the first 2-3 words that might be found in a search--and the words used on Etsy will probably be similar to ones used on Google.

Have some variety between listings, even if the items are similar; try mixing up the order of words or using some alternate words.
Thanks Sally, that makes sense. I'll try it!
Carol, here is a link to the Etsy Guide regarding effective Titles:

Thanks Ann, of course the guide has great information. I'll read that.
And you shouldn't go over a certain number of words either, I forget what that magical google number was...
Found it...

Google Product Search discourages long listing titles. Listing titles 70 characters in length or fewer are recommended.

I've recently learned that the first 3 words are important, too.
You're welcome!
