I'm just curious here but as I'm making jewelry I find it normal to look at other people's shops to see what they sell. Now is it just me or does anyone else doesn't like the fact that people sometimes in photo's are wearing the earrings they are selling? Ok sure you can clean them off and what not but I just don't like the idea of buying earrings someone else has worn even if for a picture.
I mind necklaces, bracelets and rings less but still I don't like it either.
There are other ways of displaying your items rather than wearing them.
What are your thoughts and ideas about it? Thanks!
I don't like anyone wearing anything...not clothing, not jewelry, not hats or gloves......and I am not crazy about mannequins either....but I am definitely in the minority from what I've read in previous similar posts.
I know that Some peeps are queasy about showing their wearables on real people, but it doesn't bother me at all - in fact, I love it. I've been around for a while and it didn't used to bother anyone (at craft shows, etc.) to try stuff on - even earrings. It's just my opinion but, it seems that the younger generation is creeped out about a LOT of things......
Here here. I was thinking about this topic last night. I noticed people modeling hats - ick. I think the jewelers should buy the felted forms to model their jewelry.
Besides hygiene too many pictures are cluttered with props
