wish i had known this when i ditched stamps dot com and bought another scale that doesn't have a USB. *Sigh* Mine was $15.00 on Amazon though, so no great loss
My scale came from an Ebay auction and first ever experience with E bay. It cost only $10 and came with free shipping, weighs up to 75 pounds and uses batteries or a AC/DC cord (not included but the one for my can opener worked.)
It took a little more than a week to get to me which was okay but if you want something right now, go to a brick and mortar store like Harbor Freight. You don't need to spend a lot for a decent scale but it should be accurate.
You will LOVE the convenience of printing your own shipping labels on Pay Pal and there is no more danger of transposing digits in the address.
Just bought a new WeighMax on Amazon for $19, free shipping. Weighs up to 50lbs. Did a test run over the weekend and it works great.
