Original Post

Ms. Corina has elected to step down as the Captain of this team. There seemed to be a lot of interest in keeping the team open, so I had offered to be promoted to Captain in order to facilitate that goal.

My name is Sweety Darlin'. I have been sewing for more than 20 years and have done ALMOST anything you can imagine to put through a sewing machine. I make formal gowns, children's clothes, historical attire, costumes (of pretty much any kind), and I have also made draperies, reupholstered furniture and a bunch of other stuff that I probably don't remember.

I am a leader in the AREtsy Team and Team Skaro. I went through the rigorous task of creating a team directory for the AREtsy Team, and that is probably a way to deal with staying in touch here too. As I can use that as a model for this team, we could start a blog, and team members could submit posts on say a weekly or monthly basis, we could have a team Facebook page, and Twitter.

That is to say if there is sufficient interest in that type of information. I would like a little feedback on this and if there seems to be a consensus, I will start the convos to the team members. It is a pain and I know it will take a little while to get up and running, but I have had great success from this team and would like others to have success as well.

I think a team facebook group would be a great idea! A FB group always pops up in the FB newsfeed, and the notifications are always on the left-hand side of the home page--very noticeable!

I don't have a whole lot of time to devote to this, but I would be interested in helping with a blog every so often . . . like once a month? Maybe several people could rotate?

I figured if we got maybe 6-8 people at a minimum we could have a different post every couple of weeks, and as the team grew it could potentially be more frequent.

I hope to be able to get some convos out in the next week to introduce myself and start working on a plan of action.
