I am the Events and Fundraiser Coordinator for my Sunday School Class at my church. I am planning a Spring Craft Fair. Obviously I am going to need to assistance of others in my class. Anyway, my idea is to have it on a Saturday at our church in Greensboro, NC from 8AM-2PM or even 3PM.

Others in my class are really pushing for only 8AM-12PM. My thoughts are that Vendors will not drive from an hour or more away for just 4 hours of sales.

What do you all think?

I feel like as the Events and Fundraiser Coordinator I might have influence over the length of the fair.

This is the first time my class has done one of these but another group at my church does it in the Fall.

Please advise! Thanks for you advise!

I was at a craft show at my aunt's church back in November and it was from 9 - 2 and I even thought that was not enough time. I think personally 8 a.m. - about 4 p.m. is a good amount of time (that is if you can do it for that long).

Craft Shows are usually are from 10 to 4 but i think for the church bazaar the time would be good from 9 - 3

I have done several craft shows at churches and 9-3 has been a common length, with setup beginning at 7.

Yes, I have never seen something like that end at 12. For a vendor, that is alot of setup and take down time just to sell for 3 hours. Also, staying open until 4 gives moms the chance to come after their kiddos naps, games, etc. :)
