Hi All,
I'm the new program manager for the Kentuck Art Center in Northport, Ala.
I wanted to reach out to you and let you know we still have spot open for our August and September a la cARTe events.

In August, we are having a "Beat the Back to School Blues" themed a la cARTe. In addition to providing a table for artist to sell their wares, we are having a blues guitarist come and teach kids how to write their own blues song, make comb harmonicas, and have handouts on how to beat the back to school blues.

Kentuck invites local artists and craftspeople to apply to sell their original, handmade work at its August and September Art Fairs. The Art Fair will be held in the Courtyard of Wonders during a la cARTe on Saturday, August 18, 10am to 2pm and Saturday, September 15th from 10 am to 2 pm.

Ten spaces are available for each event, and each rents for $10. Kentuck can provide a table and chairs for each space during the event.

September 15th theme – We're going to focus on recycled art.

Kentuck’s a la cARTe series, now in its third year, engages the community and perpetuates the arts with conversation, artist demonstrations, Kentuck for Kids activities, and occasionally, regional cuisine. More information is available at, or by calling Kentuck at 205-758-1257.

Let me know if you are interested.

I am absolutely interested! I just recently moved to Tuscaloosa and this is the kind of exposure I make connections with other artists in person and show off my stuff and be a part of the community at large! Thanks for posting the info!!!
