Good Morning Teamies!! I hope everyone had a FABULOUS weekend!! This week's featured shop comes to us from ChanTell DeAnne @ SarahBellasBoutique! Don't forget to ask questions, make comments, and use ChanTell's items in your treasuries this week!!
Where are you from?
I am from Detroit, MI but currently reside right outside of it in Taylor, MI.
What inspired you to start your shop and begin selling on etsy?
I started jewelry making as a hobby and as a stress reliever about a year ago. I'd make things for friends and family as gifts and everyone encouraged me to start selling when I ran across Etsy from a friend who was going to start using it as well. I am glad I did :)
Favorite color? Pink but I own and wear mostly Black
What is your philosophy towards work? I am a hard worker. I try to be very good at what I do and not just do what gets me by. BUT I also think you should work to live ...most people live to work and life passes them by. You miss all the precious moments life gives us when working consumes your life.
Greatest strength? Hmmm...it could also be my weakness at times. When I love something I give my all to it. Whether it be friends, family, or my craft.
What are some of your hobbies? I love gardening, cooking, crafting, and reading.
Do you read? Latest book you read? I try to read whenever I have free time. I have soooo many books. James Patterson is my favorite author. I am currently reading Fifty Shades Of Grey by E.L. James.
What techniques and tools do you use to keep yourself organized? I am far from organized. But I tend to forget everything around me when I craft so I now use a timer to set certain hours for my jewelry making. I have tons of boxes/organizers and labels for everything so I can know exactly where everything is.
What's the best movie you've seen in the last year? I don't go see movies very often...but I went to see The Avengers with my boyfriend and son. I loved it.
If you could choose one superhero power, what would it be and why? I always wanted to be invincible but then I thought I may find out things I shouldn't know lol So now it would probably be to have like this super strength to be able to stop violence and save people from danger.
One suggestion for the team?
I love the team as is :)

Lovely answers - I concur about using a timer when you get absorbed in creating - I should do that!
I love these earrings -
Can I ask how you got the lighting etc so good in this pic (and many others?) It's very clear and sharp :)
Most of my better ones still tend to come out looking a little grey, more like this piece by you (gorgeous piece btw!)
I'm always on the quest for more Treasury and sale worthy photos! Would love to hear your tips :)
Looking forward to using your items in a Treasury :)

Always love seeing your new creations. The stackables are my favorites.

To answer your question *great question by the way*
I started studying the pictures of people who made it to the front page of Etsy and realized white crisp backgrounds were chosen ALOT. I couldn't afford my dream camera The Canon Rebel at the time so I got a cheaper Canon version. I also started taking pictures outside on white poster board...early morning is best because of the clear sky because the sun can cause shadowing.
I also found an Etsy app called Fotofuze... Fotofuze.com... which takes your greyish white background and makes it crisp white...but it only looks good if it was taken in great light. I only keep my greyish white backgrounds if the item looks better that way. I like to capture the beauty of my product without altering it so it stays true.
Hope this helps. :)
