The Gardner’s Bar is scented exclusively with essential oils of orange, lemon and Egyptian geranium. It’s the perfect blend of citrus and floral to get you smelling fresh.

In addition to the lovely scent are ground rose petals, wheat germ and finely ground coffee to add to the scrubbing power to get those hands clean after working in the dirt planting your favorite plants.

Orange oil-Just a few of the therapeutic properties of orange oil include anti-inflammatory, antiseptic and anti-depressant.

Lemon oil-Lemon oil is known to be an antiseptic and an antibacterial oil. In addition to that is smells so very refreshing!

Egyptian geranium-Geranium oil is effective on the emotions, helping to lift your spirits.

The soap is made from the following ingredients.

Olive oil-Olive oil is a wonderful natural moisturizer. It attracts moisture and keeps it close to the skin. Even more than that it is great for body use because it’s doesn’t inhibit the skin’s natural function to breathe.

Coconut oil-Coconut is the homemade soap maker’s staple for getting lots of bubbles and lather. It is moderately moisturizing and helps to get a firm longer lasting bar of soap.

Shea butter-Can’t say enough good things about shea butter! Shea butter is expressed from the pits of the African butter tree that grows in central Africa. Shea butter is one of the few oils that is not transformed into soap during the soap making process leaving it there in the soap in its original state to moisturize your skin. Shea butter is wonderful for healing and soothing dry skin. And it is gentle to use on babies and people with sensitive skin!

Palm oil-Palm oil is taken from the oil palm tree. It is great for creating a harder bar of soap so you can get the most from your homemade soap.

Distilled water

Sodium Hydroxide-At first glance this may set off red flags in your mind. This is the fancy name for lye. Sodium hydroxide or lye is a requirement for homemade soap. This is the component that turns all those wonderful oils into something that will clean and moisturize your body.
