St. Michael is an Archangel who appears in the Christian, Islamic, and Judaic traditions - a powerful symbol indeed. The warrior-angel is a fierce protector - carrying this small shrine to Mi-cha-el ("he who is like God" in Hebrew) helps offer some solace to someone in a dangerous or vulnerable situation.

The invocation inside reads:
"St. Michael the Archangel defend us in battle, be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil."
...and is paired with an image of Michael defeating an evil monster in paper tole, a technique which adds some dimension to the 2-D image.

The highlights in the photos are reflections off the glass-like glaze on the paper cut outs. Oval metal distressed tin with painted, glazed ultra-light polymer clay mosaic and shield-shape on top, with the flames of evil licking at the bottom, paper tole images & invocation inside.

About 4" x 5" by 3/4" deep.
