This is a dress that is an orange shade--what would you call it? -- Persimmon, Dark Orange Sherbert or Perky Salmon? Fabric is like a crinkly rayon: no need to iron! Top part has lots of pearls, beads, sequins and metallic thread design. On center I added a horizontal piece of applique embroidered flowers; in the center of each, I sewed on more embroidery work. Under that, I added a vintage apron. There was one pocket, I added another pocket with pink Asian fabric. On bottom of apron, I cut a cloth floral belt apart and added the 7 strips. I cut the ties off of the apron and sewed them on backside, radiating from another embroidered circular piece. I cut a heart shape from the belt material and sewed it on by hand. Lastly, I had a cute pin from the 50's with a face on it which I pinned on backside. I just tried this on; I wear a Medium and it fit me. So cute and stylish: American Prairie Girl meets Exotic Princess. Measures 39" in length; hem sweep 76" with a 17" slit on each side, bottom; 21" across frontside from underarm seam to underarm seam; hips to 44". Fully lined in gauzy linen; has one hook and eye on upper lefthand shoulder. Signed by me, Bonny Gorsuch in Cannon Beach, Oregon, USA. Carries the "Random Scraps of Fabric" label.
