Beautiful Hiawatha handbag in rose pinks and mint greens with sort of a flora/fern pattern. Tapestry over satin with a gorgeous Deco-style carved wooden closure. Hiawatha is a famous bag maker, they did a lot of patterns for DIY bags. This one could date from the 1920's - 1940's. The bag is in fair/good vintage condition. Very pretty and functional. There is some soiling/age spots on the satin of the bag - It may lighten with a hand-wash, but you'd have to be careful not to wet the wooden part. To me, the stains are pretty typical age marks and not very loud or distracting. Also, the top of the handles are fairly worn and threadbare right where someone's hand would hold it. Overall though, it is a gorgeous piece that anyone would be glad to carry.
