Need a light? The hand was cast in plaster by me from my own hand and is mounted to a round wooden block, painted a bright orange. The cord is about 8ft long, with a push through socket switch. This lamp comes with a clear 45 watt round bulb. Replacements can be easily found most anywhere. There is a bracket on the back and the block can be secured via a screw or nail in the wall. The cord hangs free. This unique, one of a kind lamp is definitely a conversation starter!

Please notice the texture of the plaster in the last thumbnail. I fill and sand imperfections and paint over the plaster with gesso to insure an even surface. You may still see very small pinhole marks and light brush strokes. These do not diminish from the overall quality of the piece.

*The wiring, socket, switch, plug and bulb are all UL listed. However, the lamp itself is not.*

This piece was inspired by an installation piece I did entitled Burnt Offerings, and included in a body of work called Trial by Fire. I made 33 plaster casts of my own hand. Each hand held a burnt "offering" of some sort, so each hand was completely different in pose and contents. Please visit my website here:
