This is a wonderful, antique book, of over 100 years old.

It's title is 'With Haig at The Front' by Tom Bevan.

To know more about who Haig was use this link - http://www.bbc.co.uk/history/historic_figures/haig_douglas_general.shtml

The book has red boards with gilt lettering to the front and black lettering to its ornate spine.
Within its pages there are removable, colour illustared plates, which are all intact, depicting scenes from WW1.
Along with black and white photographs of soldiers in action.

The book is, however, damaged. The yellowed pages have come away from the books spine, the boards have faded over time and there is a hand written inscription on the first title page.

The final photograph shows the full extent of the books damage.

I must add, this is still a wonderful piece of history to own, besides being a great read, looking wonderful on a shelf with it's ornate spine, it could also be upcycled with it's 4 frameable plates, 7 photographic prints and many antique pages.
