This trunk was made by the Pittsburgh PA Mine Safety Appliances Company and sold with an unknown model of air mask, as a result the exact time period is unknown, 1930's-40s is purely an estimate.
The trunk is made of wood, edges lined in rubber with steel guards on the corners and a leather handle.
The front depicts the old MSA logo while the back is bare. Inside is a cardboard sign explaining instructions and maintenance of the mask that it came with. The inside also houses two wood blocks attached to the interior, one on the lid and one on the bottom as well as a cloth pouch which would be best left buttoned or else the fabric may tear as it's very dry.

All of the hardware on the trunk works perfectly and there is no significant structural damage to the trunk of any kind. Some areas of the top and backside do show some wrinkles however that appears to actually just be thick paint or some other material that creates the green outer shell of the trunk.

Measures 25.5"x 9.5"x 16"(including handle)
Weighs about 15lbs, will ship at about 17lbs
