I love my mummy porcelain heart ring dish. A perfect mothers day or birthday gift.

I take some porcelain clay and shape it by hand into a heart dish with a gentle curve. While the clay is still wet, I hand stamp the message. The porcelain clay dries, and it is then fired in my kiln at high temperatures for the first time. I then glaze the words, and the dish is fired in the kiln a second time. I then apply the clear shiny gloss glaze, and the dish is fired for a third time.

The dish is approx 9.5cm W x 8.5 L x 0.3cm thick. The dish curves slightly to an approx 1cm rise. The back of the dish is unglazed, giving it a matt milky white colour, and the feel of stone to the touch.
