This amazing geometric buckle has a streamlined abstact design that epitomises machine age Art Deco jewellery.

The buckle is made of high sheen chromed metal which has been set with two thin rectangles of jade green Czech glass. It has enamelled detailing in pale yellow and green in rectangular blocks sections above and below the glass and in semi circular bands at either side. The circular chromed side sections look like streamlined car headlight from the 1930s and are very dramatic and stylish. An Art Deco delight.

The buckle has two halves that are joined in the middle by a metal tongue and loop at the back and can flex in the middle to enable comfort when worn. It has been mounted on buttermilk coloured grosgrain ribbon that can be tied around the neck to create a choker necklace.

Condition is good overall with a hairline fracture in the glass panels and minor dings to the chrome ends - nothing that detracts from the dramatic beauty of this stylish buckle choker.

width of buckle 62mm (2.5 inches)
height of buckle 18mm 90.75 inches)
length of ribbon choker 1 metre (39 inches)
