Vintage early 1900s Edwardian Bird Species antique photography illustrations.

Fabulous piece of Edwardian natural science literature featuring curious art prints.
Bird Neighbors. An introductory acquaintance with one hundred and fifty birds commonly found in the gardens, meadows, and woods about our homes.
The Nature Library volume one. By Neltje Blanchan with an introduction by John Burroughs
Published by Doubleday, Pace & Company in 1904.
With many photographic illustrations in color and in black and white.
This book features antique photography and lithographic images in glossy full page plates. The images are very artistic and sometimes very unusual like the plate of some bird perfectly camouflaged in color and texture to the trunk of a tree. This book also features antique design techniques with text and pictures.
This hardcover book is bound in a woven fabric cover which is faded, I think the original color which you can still see on the binding was a brownish red. There is some vintage wear to the cover. The inside cover pages have vintage browning. Other then that the book is in very good condition.
Take this book and a pair of binoculars out on a picnic!
A perfect book for the bird watching design history buff artist!
